"Izuku!"
The moment he entered the glade that surrounded the big oak tree, the first thing Shoto does was call out for the wild boy.
"Izuku?!"
Reaching the oak tree itself, the hunter boy was left bewildered when he couldn't spot the wild boy anywhere. That was odd, he thought. Shoto even admitted, he noticed that out of them two, Izuku looked more excited than he was about the idea of seeing each other again.
Thinking that he might be waiting for him somewhere else nearby, Shoto decided to wander around the clearing a bit to find any clues of where the other boy might be.
"Hello, Izuku?!" He called out once more with his hand raised and held close to his lips. "I kept my promise, I'm here!"
However, no matter how loud he shouted and how closely he looked around each and every place where the wild boy could probably be hiding, he still cannot find any signs of him anywhere.
"Izuku?!"
Shoto was beginning to think that he went through all that trouble of ditching his scullery work and causing a commotion just to slip out and be here was all for nothing. But not only that, he couldn't help but feel a little disappointed that after everything he had been through, he had managed to find himself at least one person he could be himself around with. Only to find out that one person was nowhere to be se-
Shoto was interrupted from his thoughts when from out of the blue, he suddenly felt something crash against him hard and fast. Whatever it was, it sent them both rolling down the slope. Finally landing on the very bottom with a loud thud, when the hunter boy came to, he felt something soft and smooth smooshed against his right cheek and a pair of small but strong arms tightly wrapped around his body.
It didn't take much for Shoto to process what the heck just happened back there, because hearing the squealing of a familiar voice was all it took for him to figure it all out.
"You came, you actually came. I mean, I knew you would be coming. But still, you came anyway!" He heard the wild boy squeal, feeling him tenderly rubbing his cheek against his own.
He can also feel his weight on his lap with his two legs straddling both of his sides.
"You have no idea how much this really means to me!"
And in that exact moment, Tenya just casually appeared as he flew down to land on the grassy ground close to where the two boys were. If actions spoke louder than words, then Izuku sure was doing a great job showing Shoto how extremely happy he was to see him. And it made him feel like a monster for ever thinking that this kid was never gonna show up.
Being crushed to death by the wild boy's strong and loving hug was certainly a fitting punishment for him. But still...
"I-Izuku!"
"Yeah?"
"Air...I need air!"
"Oh, sorry!" Izuku apologized as he quickly pulled away from Shoto, stood up and quickly got off of him. "It's just, I've been waiting ages for you. And it made me really happy that you actually showed up!" He added as he grabbed ahold of the hunter boy's right arm and proceeded to help him back up on his two feet.
"Believe me, you have no idea how much trouble I went through just to get here!" Shoto chuckled as he brushed off the dirt that stuck to his clothes.
"It doesn't matter!" Izuku cheerfully smiled as he clasped both of Shoto's hands into his own. Drawing it close to his face, he then continued "You're here now, that's all that matters!"
