Shoto knows it, he just knows it. His mismatched eyes were met with those eerily glowing green orbs the moment they snapped open. Simply gazing upon them startled the boy and made him subconsciously let out a shriek.

Realizing his mistake, Shoto quickly cowered back into his hiding place, with both of his hands slapped over his mouth. Then suddenly, Tenya appeared and settled himself atop the very stalagmite that stood before the boy. The bird then innocently tilted it's head to the side, starring down at his poor frightened master as he breathed deeply through his hands.

"You can come out now!"

Just hearing that taunting voice echo across the cave walls sent a shiver down his spine. Some hunter he was, Shoto will have to scold himself for being too cocky, but that will have to wait. Shoto dared not to look, but curiosity got the best of him when he slowly but cautiously peeked his head out of his hiding spot to see whether the sudden voice was really bluffing or not.

"We can smell you!"

That's when he saw it. No, him. Or maybe them? Shoto honestly wasn't certain which was more scary.

Watching a pack of them wolves treading dangerously close to where he was, or seeing that very same boy riding atop one of the beasts that stood at the very middle of the pack.

"Yeah, you stink. I knew you were here, come out of your hidey-hole!"

Seeing this then made Shoto quickly retreat back into his hiding spot.

"Let's see you!"

Suddenly, a pack of growling wolves appeared right in front of Shoto's face. Absolutely having no plan in ending up in pieces inside of a wolf's stomach, he screamed before quickly hopping out of his hiding spot and immediately ran as fast he could to the opposite direction. Only to be stopped by another pack of snarling wolves.

With the wolves blocking any possible routes for his escape, the boy was left in the mercy of these beasts. And in a desperate attempt to defend himself, all Shoto could do was raise his arms and cover himself in a seemingly pathetic manner. And witnessing his latest victim cowering in fear and terror like frightened defenseless prey, the boy riding on the wolf chuckled and grinned maliciously, revealing razor sharp fangs and teeth.

"Don't kill me!" Shoto pleaded, hearing the beasts' growls and snarls inching dangerously close to him, and he dared not to look to see if it were really true.

"Ha, I do what I like!" The wild boy proudly laughed as he hopped of the wolf's back.

The beasts that were snarling at Shoto then suddenly backed away, joining with the other wolves that surrounded the place.

"Come here!"

The golden glow within the wolves' eyes suddenly vanished, turning their pupils back into their respective normal eyecolors. And just like that, the wolves broke their formation and scurried off to the back.

Shoto's expression then shifted into a look of realization when he stuttered "You're...You're a...a-"

"A wolfwalker!" The wild boy exclaimed as he raised both his hands in the air in a clawing motion, frightening the other boy in front of him. Resting both his hands on either sides of his hips, he then proudly continued "So what? You should thank me!"

Shoto's feisty side seems to be slowly coming back to him when he asked with a raised brow "Why?"

"I saved your life!" The wild boy simply replied matter-of-factly.

"Saved me? You bit me!" Shoto growled, raising his bandaged injured arm right in front of the other boy's face to place more emphasis.

"Well, you kicked me in the face enough times!" The wild boy growled back, jabbing a thumb towards his face.
