Once they landed on the top floor, Jean dashed and stood between her comrades and her enemies. Soon after, Diluc followed. They eyed the enemies who were trying to stand up.

"Foolish humans," the pyro abyss mage said. Its glowing yellow eyes glared angrily at the two adults. It held out its hand and summoned a flame orb before threw it to its enemies. Diluc quickly countered the attack by swinging his claymore up on to the air. The flame orb bounced and hit the wall next to the other abyss mages. "Tsk,"

"You must be the leaders as you can talk. Why are you attacking us? What do you want?" Jean asked straight to the point while gripping hard her sword.

"Mondstadt," the cryo abyss mage spoke up in a raspy voice after it found its balance on the ground. "That's what we wanted. We will take over the whole Teyvat and Mondstadt is our first step!" it continued and summoned icicles and threw them towards the four of them. Jean lifted her sword and gave a few swings of her sword, countered the attack while Diluc drew flames on his claymore and melt the ices.

Within a second, Venti drew a big strong whirlwind and hit the cyro abyss mage. "Lumine!" Venti shouted and Lumine quickly drew swifts of electro and the elemental reactions created a strong electro whirlwind. The cryo abyss mage cried in pain as the strong wind continuously hit its body while the pyro abyss mage commenced a ritual dance before it erupted burst of fire from the ground. Lava exploded from the ground and the eruptions continued to explode towards Lumine. Diluc quickly pushed her away from the ground and dodge the explosion. He then dashed and swung his blazing claymore towards the pyro abyss mage. The hard claymore hit right on its face and it was sent flying hard on the cold wall. The wall cracked as its body hit the surface. Without wasting anymore time, Lumine ran and stabbed the abyss mage right through its body. Once the pyro abyss mage had stopped moving, Lumine pulled out her sword and turned her head towards Jean.

Once the electro whirlwind had stopped, Jean quickly drew a strong wind and hit the cyro abyss mage and it hit onto the pillars. In a blink of an eye, the cryo abyss mage created a large icicle on top of her head and started to fall down. Just before the cold icicle hit her, Venti jumped and kicked the icicle away. The icicle broke into pieces and Jean rushed towards the cryo abyss mage. Just before she could draw her blade to the cryo abyss mage, the hydro abyss mage teleported right in front of her. She quickly stepped back as it created a lot of bubbles around her. She was trapped. The bubbles got closer and closer and she had no way out. Venti quickly popped the bubbles with his arrows while Diluc released his fire Phoenix and destroyed all the bubbles around her.

Venti gasped and fell down on the floor. He was already worn out. He couldn't move. "Venti!" Lumine rushed beside him. She lifted her face towards Diluc and gave him a look as she was saying 'the rest is up to you two'. She took Venti's arm on her shoulder and fled from the place and hid behind a big boulder.

Diluc rushed beside her. Now there were only two enemies left. Both Jean and Diluc gripped their weapons tightly before they moved to the enemy. Jean made the first move by lunging her sharp blade at the hydro abyss mage. It managed to dodge and moved aside. Jean slid onto the floor and kick the hydro abyss mage hard, making it fell on the ground. She quickly got up and bent her back, trying to dodge the icicles created by the other enemy. Diluc quickly swung his heavy claymore and hit the cryo abyss mage. It was burning in red flames while Diluc jumped high onto the sky while pointing his claymore down at it and with a strong swing, the cryo abyss mage stopped moving.

Jean stopped the strong water current with her strong windshield before she decided to step back by backflipping then rolled onto the ground. She dashed to her enemy and tried to stab the enemy when a sudden waterfall fell down out of nowhere above her. Luckily, she managed to dodge. Once the waterfall was gone, she found her enemy was out of her sight. In a split of a second, the hydro abyss mage appeared behind her. She turned around while swinging her sword towards it and cut its right hand. The hydro abyss mage cried in pain and stepped back. "Foolish humans!" it said angrily. Its other hand was held up onto the air and he summoned a bigger waterfall above her. Diluc quickly grabbed and pulled her away from the waterfall.

After the waterfall had once again stopped, Jean ran towards the enemy and drew another strong wind and blew the enemy away before Diluc hit it with his claymore. The hydro abyss mage fell hard on the ground and breathed heavily. Both Jean and Diluc moved forwards and finished the last enemy together by swinging their blades together. "Don't you ever dare touch this land ever again," Jean said. The hydro abyss mage soon stopped moving.

Jean let out a heavy breath and knelt down. Finally. She whispered and turned to Diluc. Terror took her eyes when she saw Diluc fell down on the hard floor, not breathing.

Diluc slowly opened his heavy eyes and found himself in his fancy bedroom. Once he adjusted his eyes through the light, he turned his head as he sensed a movement on the right side of his bed and he carved a smile.

"Jean," Diluc softly called her name.

Jean who was staring outside the big window quickly turned her back to him. Her eyes widened as she sighted Diluc was already sitting on his bed, smiling at her. Tears started to pool in her eyes and she rushed towards him before throwing herself on him. "Diluc! You finally wake up! Thank archon!" she sniffled while hugging him as tight as she can

Diluc gently brushed her back and returned her hug. What a nice feeling... After a moment, Jean pulled herself back and they stared into each other's eyes. "Beautiful," Diluc blurted out.

"What?" she frowned.

Diluc turned his head away. He couldn't help but to find Jean looked beautiful in the simple green dress instead of her usual knight outfit. "You look... beautiful in that dress," he blushed.

"Oh... I-" Jean stuttered before they heard a little chuckle by the bedroom's door.

"Wow. The first thing you did after your four-days-coma was complimenting how beautiful your future wife is. How romantic, Diluc," Kaeya crossed him arms while leaning himself against the door frame, smirking.

Diluc's face flushed red at his brother's tease.

"Since when you've been there?" Jean quickly asked.

"Since I heard a thud from this room and only to find you both were hugging and that fallen vase," he pointed to the ceramic vase that was rolling on the floor. Jean probably knocked it when she tried to hug Diluc.

But knowing that Kaeya saw the whole scene, it made Diluc blushed even more. What could be worse than this? He then lifted up his head and looked at Kaeya. "Wait, you said I was unconscious for four days?"

"Yes," Jean replied. "Your doctor said you used your energy and skills more than your body could handle. And you lack of rests," she sighed.

"Then, what happened after-"

"Calm down, Diluc. You just woke up," Kaeya cut him off and walked towards him. "I'll tell you everything later. I'm sure Jean needs some rest after a long day here," he smirked. "She came here every day to check on you, you know," Jean simply nodded, still trying to hide her flustered cheeks.

"I'm glad to see you awake, Diluc," Jean smiled at him before giving him a simple kiss on his cheek. "I'll see you around. Please make sure you get enough rest," she continued before pulling herself from him.

Diluc grabbed her hand. "What about you? Are you okay now?" he asked her. The question was filled with his concerns.

Jean smiled. "I healed enough already, thanks to Barbara's skills," she replied. "See, I can move my shoulder freely now," she continued why swinging her left arm, trying to reassure him.

Diluc sighed. "Fine. Just don't overwork yourself for now,"

Jean chuckled. "I'll see you around, Diluc,"
