Chapter 3

Mikayla's pov

When I tell you looking for a job is not easy , it isn't . The last three places didn't want to hire me because it was either I didn't have experience or I didn't agree with the time shifts . I mean one of them wanted me to work 52 hours a week and that's just impossible for me to do .

Walking out of the elevator and I reached for my keys which was in bag to unlock my door since it was the first door you saw when you reached my apartment. As I stepped in something felt different but that was until I saw a recognisable face .

I sighed dropping my bag on the counter "what are you doing here Liam ?" I asked shooting a glare directly at him .

Liam was my landlord, and a pervert , he wanted me to suffer just because I rejected him . So when I bought this apartment I didn't know that he was going to be my landlord, he started taking a liking to me but I wasn't interested , and he didn't take it very well .

"I'm assuming you received your eviction notice ?"
"Yes I know and I'm trying to find a job-"He rudely cut me off "you got fired ?" I nodded "I need money first before I could pay my half I just need time ."
"I've given you two weeks."
"I need more than that , it takes at least an entire month to get paid ."
He grinned evilly "mikayla if only you had said yes to me then we wouldn't be in this situation-"
"Get out Liam ." I muttered "now ! Get out of my apartment!" I yelled feeling tears prickle to my eyes . He soon walked passed me and out of my apartment. I locked it after he left . Leaning against the door I thought to myself .
How did I even get in this position?

It had nearly been a week and I was still looking for a job. Honestly I thought of giving up but if did I guarantee I would be o the streets and that's the last thing I need right now .

As I walked down the busy streets so many things were going through my mind. I always thought when I was younger my brother would always be there for me considering how he used to take care of me when my mother wasn't there or she was passed out on the couch .
But I presumed to early because what I realised was not everyone stays the same .

I heard the sound of a doorbell ringing and the next thing I knew I bumped into a very hard shoulder causing me to fall back . "You must be kidding me ." I mumbled to myself , I looked up and thought about what I was going to say when I saw who was looking down at me .

His perfect tanned skin , and his green eyes were staring into my soul. His black hair which was perfectly slicked back and I watched as he stretched his arm out revealing a shiny Rolex on his wrist .

Who doesn't love a man in a suit ?

"Are you okay?" He asked as I slowly took his hand, he quickly pulled me up and I adjusted my dress "yeah I am thanks , sorr-"
"Sorry it was my fault I'm in a rush-"
"Alessandro Russo, your the CEO of Business and Finance ." He nodded with a smile showing all his pearly whites "oh God is never thought I'd actually meet you-"
"Babe?" A high pitched voice said behind me "hurry up, who's this ?" I turned spring to find a blonde female in's black body-con dress . "Why are you taking so long we have to go-"
"I'll meet you there in a second Paisley ." 
She groaned walking back to the Black SUV . "Oh Erm considering how famous you are of course your gonna be busy sorry." I smiled nervously walking in a opposite direction until I felt him grab my arm "here , take my card ." He said pulling it out of his pocket "if you need anything call me ."

I felt my cheeks heating up as I took the card from his hand placing it into my purse and closing after making sure that I didn't loose it . "Thanks-"
"Your name ?"
"Mikayla."
"Beautiful name for a beautiful girl."
I nervously but my bottom lip , the Most successful CEO in New York did not bust call me beautiful "thank you ."

Once I got home I could not stop thinking about Alessandro, and I barely even know him . I tightly clutched the card he gave me in my hand as I stared up at my ceiling .   Forgetting to even eat dinner I ended up drifting into a deep slumber .
