Chapter 17

Alessandro's POV

"It was the day my sister went missing ." She said "sister ? You had a sister?"

She nodded tucking her bottom lip into her mouth "there was three of us , why don't you think my mom hates me along with my brother-"

"She went missing? Was she found."

She shook her head "it's been three years today, my mom believes she's dead and blames me for it along with my brother."

"And what do you think ?"

"I have this hope that she's still out there but then another part of me feels guilty and doesn't want her to be found because I don't know what I would say or do for her to forgive me-"

"How did she go missing ?"

"I was supposed to take care of her but I went to some stupid party instead , she wanted to come so I took her with me and I drank to much-"

I realised how badly this had affected her and how talking about it now made her feel "you don't have to carry on-"

"It's my fault ." She sniffled "I Shoshone stayed home with her and be responsible."

"Hey." I whispered lifting her chin up I wiped her tears kissing her forehead "now do you understand why I hate my birthday Alessandro?"

"I'm sorry for asking you baby." I pulled her towards my chest . Sometimes it's just better to keep the curiosity to yourself , especially when it's something personal.

As she calmed down she ended up falling back to sleep so I slowed her to rest . Despite her not even wanting to celebrate her birthday I at least wanted to gift her with a gift, I just nested to make her happy I mean it's clear she isn't lived the best life and I feel like I may have intruded with my surrogacy nonsense , but I'm glad she accepted it and maybe like me she wanted something new in her life.

I strode out my closet after my shower to still find her snuggled into the covers . She must have been tired  especially from all that crying .

So I snuck out the room and went downstairs to find Maria , she was a maid and worked for me for nearly two years now and yes sometimes she acts like my mother when she isn't there, she was another mother to me.  And yes I loved her I just never told her but I think she knew .

"Good morning Alessandro."

"Morning , Maria."

"What would you like for breakfast today?"

"Actually I would like for you
To make a birthday cake nothing big just a small one if it's possible."

"Of course is it for your mistress upstairs?"

I nodded smiling "but it's a secret she can't know ." 

"Sure thing ,I'll whip that up for you as soon as possible."

"Thankyou , and how's Steph ?"

"She's good , she's a sophomore now ."

"Oh really ?" I exclaimed as she referred to her seventeen year old daughter who was like a little sister to me . Yes she was rebellious at times but that's just how teenagers are . They all go through that certain stage , I certainly did .

As I stepped into the living room I rolled my eyes in annoyance , of course they had to fall asleep on the couch instead of going to there rooms . "Just let them sleep Alessandro." I heard someone say behind me , it was a voice we all knew to well .

Wasn't she asleep though ?

I turned around to find the face I loved waking up to . My eyes trialed down her body to find her dressed in one of my shirts , her hair damp which is obvious she just came out of the shower  . "Good morning, my love."

"Good morning ." She smiled walking up to me placing a soft kiss on my cheek . My hands moved to her waist as I looked down at her "you Look beautiful." She couldn't help by smile as her arms went ar ound my neck "you look handsome." 

My lips curled into a smile "you hungry baby?"

She shook her head "is the baby hungry?"

"I'm not sure maybe ." She responded shrugging her shoulders , our foreheads touched as I pulled her into me "fuck ." I groaned "what?" She smiled

"Just kiss me I want you to kiss me ." I said before pressing my lips against hers , our lips locked together as I pushed her against the nearest wall . I depend the kiss placing my hand beneath her thigh and gently bringing it up

I didn't want the kiss to end , I just wanted to feel her lips on mine all day every day , they were so soft-

But then she broke the kiss pulling away and I furrowed my eyebrows "sorry I ran out of breath ." She said breathlessly looking back up at me "it's okay ." My eyes glanced back at her lips which were now all swollen due to how long we were kissing for  . "What?"

"Oh nothing anyways I want you To come with me  ." I said taking her hand in mine "where are we going ?"

"Oh nothing I just had something prepared for you ."

"Yeah what' is it babe?" I heard her say as we made our way to the dining room , it wasn't anything special I just wanted to do this because I have something planned for
Her later on today anyways .

"Alessandro if you don't-"

"You like it ?" I asked turning back to face her and "You didn't have to." She said "how did you get it so quickly ?"

"You don't have to worry about that , and I know how you don't like celebrating your birthday but I wanted to do this for you , I wanted you to be happy just this once."

"I love you." She whispered, I quickly looked down at her , trying to process what I just heard "you what?" I wanted to hear her say it again , the way the words rolled off her tongue it turned me on "I said I l-love you." I could tell she was nervous by the tone of her voice "baby." I whispered placing my hands on the sides of her head "yes?"

"I love you to." I said causing a bright smile to appear on her face"you do?"
I nodded as I wiped a fallen tear which escaped her eye "I love you so much amore."

"I was so nervous to tell you but then you said how you were falling in love with me-"

My hands went to the back of her thighs as I picked her up , her legs went around my waist as she looked down at me  with a smile "Sandro what are you doing?" She asked , I chuckled turning around and walking toward my office , I pushed the door open and closed it behind me throwing her onto the couch I climbed on top of her .

"What do you think I'm doing ?" I asked as I brief my face into her neck , I heard her giggles "I'm ticklish baby." 

"Yeah I know ." I said before I began tickling her , mainly because I wanted to hear her laugh and I liked listening to it , there nothing better than making the one person your in love with smile . "Babe stop I'm outta breath." I heard her say , and imma be honest I was exhausted doing it for so long so I stopped .

"I'm hungry." She whined "you just said you wasn't five minutes ago?"

"We'll I am now , I want food." She demanded folding her arms , like a five year old I chuckled

"You want food bambina?"

She nodded

"You sure you don't want this dick instead ? Because I could fill you Up as much-"

A smile plastered on her face as she shook her head "as much as I would love to  baby I want real food ."

"Okay come on ."
