Chapter 13

It had nearly been a month now and it was me avoiding Alessandro still , I didn't want anything to do with him anymore so I made my decision to go into his office today and see if I could either resign or he could break off the contract.

I stood outside his office debating wether I should what I was thinking , and yeah I wanted him outta my life , he's done nothing but stress me out and treat me like a piece of shit and I've had enough .

I rapidly knocked on his door three times and didn't wait for him to respond I just walked in . The look on his face shows it was obvious that he was surprised to see me .

"Mikayla what are you doing here-"

"I wanna break the contract I don't wanna be your surrogate anymore ."

He smiled "it's not that easy , you've already agreed and signed the contract , and plus we've already had sex-"

"Okay then I wanna resign I don't wanna work here anymore ."

"You'll need an explicit reason-"

"You your the problem and I can't stand working for you , you've been acting like aDick to me and I hate it , I'll just get another job."

"But anyways I'm not firing you go back to work-"

"If your not firing me then I quit , goodbye-"

"You do realise you won't be getting paid anymore ?"

"I don't care-"

"I'm assuming you still have that debt to pay?"

"I've saved quite enough money,or may he I've already paid it off." I said with a tiny smirk on my face "what do you mean?"

"I mean all I had to do was sleep with Liam."

"You slept with him? Are you fucking crazy ?"

I didn't actually sleep with Liam , I would never do that I was just saying it because I knew that it would piss of Alessandro and it did .

"Yep I did, my debts already paid so I really don't have much to worry about ."

I could already tell he was angry which kinda made me smile "goodbye Alessandro."

I picked up the test and took a deep breath in . This was the moment of truth . I was kinda nervous because I don't know what I was gonna do to be honest. I flipped the test over and let out a shaky breath.

Of course it was gonna be positive I mean the amount of love making Alessandro and I had , it was kinda obvious I would get pregnant. But now it's harder for me especially now that I'm not working either.

I wasn't necessarily experiencing symptoms just a missed period and some fatigue but that was it . I looked up in the mirror in front of me and smiled "I'm gonna be a mom." I whispered to myself wiping the tears that had escaped my eye .

I mean maybe this baby might just be what I need , it'll definitely help me with my depression now that I have something or someone else to focus on instead of being lonely all the time .

But how was I gonna tell Alessandro? Should I even tell him? Maybe I should let him know but it doesn't mean that we will go back to how we were before definitely not .

I was cut off by a knock on the door and I placed the test on the counter walking out the bathroom to see who it was.

"Alessandro? What are you doing here-"

"We need to talk." He said

I closed the door behind him "about what?"

"I'm sorry for how I've been acting towards you , yes I've been a douchebag and you don't deserve this , I'm sorry for going to Italy without telling you and I'm sorry about the bodyguards I just wanted to know you were okay, and I get it , it was an invasion of privacy and I'm sorry Mikayla but please don't break the contract, you know how much having this baby means to me and it may be my only chance-"

"What do you mean?"

"It doesn't matter , you don't have to come back to work, just please keep the contract."

"Did you mean what you said? When you said you didn't care about me ? And you only saw me as a surrogate?"

He shook his head "I never meant a single word not when I still have feelings for you , and of course I care about you what man would I be if I didn't?"

"I forgive you Alessandro it's okay, just a little overwhelming."

"I hope we can go back to how we were." He smiled "you know in the process of making a baby-"

"We don't need to anymore."

"What why-"

"Because I'm pregnant Alessandro your gonna be a father ." I said looking into his eyes . I had to get it out already I couldn't keep it in . "I'm g-gonna be a dad ?" He asked and I nodded , his facial expression started to change along with mine when I saw him smile. "Is the baby okay? Have you seen a doctor yet? Are you okay-"

"I think so , no and yes, I only found out not so long before you came ."

"What's the time ?" He asked before looking at his watch "it's two in the afternoon we could go book an appointment."

"Yeah." He wrapped his arms around my waist pressing his forehead onto mine "I'm sorry for stressing you."

"It's okay." My arms went around his neck "I'm gonna be a dad." He said once again now more excited than ever making my smile grow wider .He pressed his lips against mine and I reacted quicker than expected kissing him back . My head tilted to the side as he deepened the kiss but suddenly pulled away .his hands crept beneath my thighs as he lifted me up , my legs went perpendicular his waist "I wanna be inside you right now." He murmured against my neck "I want you also ."

"Let me make love to you then."
