Chapter 31

Mikaylas POV

As Sandro and I walked back towards the kitchen we could hear two voices and one of them was Mabel , laughing and if was would he honest that's the happiest I've heard her sound ever since we got her back .

And we enter and of course it's Vincenzo I mean he's the only person who's been able to make her smile the past couple days . I love the way they just immediately clicked on , because if it Wasn't love at first sight I'm not sure what it is . And yes it doesn't matter if they haven't known each other for that long as long as they make each other happy then that's it .

"Oh hey." She said finally noticing we both came into the kitchen "hey, what were you guys laughing about ?"

"Erm just a joke he made that's all , I lowered the heat on the lasagna so it wouldn't burn."

"Thankyou Sandro and I got a bit occupied." She glanced at me with a smirk and I smiled shaking my head "not like that for once." Sandro shot me a glare , and I gave him an innocent smile .

Mabel's POV

After everyone had dinner we went into the cinema room straight after and watched a few movies. But due to how full I was I ended up falling asleep on Vincenzo's shoulder. I mean he was quite warm and I found it comfortable to sleep on .

"Take her upstairs." I heard a faint voice say I was half awake I just couldn't be bothered to keep my eyes open. I then felt someone's arms beneath me and scoop me up , and his scent immediately filled my nose .

He carried me out the room up the spiral stairs and into my room and laid me gently on my bed . And I knew he hadn't left yet because I felt his fingers caress my cheek. "Goodnight beautiful." He said kissing my forehead . I then felt his hand let go of mine as he stood up from the bed . Until I called his name , he looked back at he with his blue eyes .

"Yes?"

"Can you stay? He smiled sitting back right beside me "you've grown fond of this huh?"

I smiled sitting up and leaned against the headboard bringing my knees up to my chest .
"It's better with you sleeping next to me rather than me being alone."

"We'll at least let me freshen up and I'll come back."

"Are you sure you won't forget ? Because I'll go down-"

He chuckled "I won't I promise ."

"Okay."

I looked over the balcony and glanced at the sky above me , it was clear and the only spruce of light up there was the moon , it was big and bright and lit up the sky .

The cold atmosphere made me cold which resulted in goosebumps considering how I was just wearing shorts and a shirt , what would I expect .

Sometimes when I just stood even here it made me feel free , as if I could go anywhere and I wasn't imprisoned or in a dungeon anywhere . I mean I always wanted to travel the world but that got taken away from me when I was abducted but now I'm here again sometimes I fear my freedom will be stripped away from me once again .

And I know Vincenzo and Alessandro promise me my safety but that's still not enough reassurance. Not whilst that evil man is still alive and breathing . 

"What are you doing out here?" I heard a familiar voice behind me and I turned around to find Vincenzo stood there shirtless in his grey sweats , his hair still damp sticking to his forehead and his brown eyes staring right through me .

My eyes couldn't help but linger at his six pack , it looked so good I wanted to just see how it felt . And he seemed to notice this but didn't say anything ."that's enough staring don't you think ?"

I felt heat rushing towards my cheek as I looked back at him "what do you mean?"

He began walking towards me with each step he took "so your basically saying you wasn't just staring at me right now ?"

I felt my back hit the railing of the balcony and I got scared so I held his biceps and his hands rested on my waist "don't worry I got you ." I looked up at him and let out a breath

Why was I so nervous ?

"You really are beautiful you know that?"

"Thanks." 

"Your freezing come on let's get you inside ."

"I like the fresh air though could we stay here for a few minutes and maybe you could keep me warm?" The last part came out as a whisper because I was a little embarrassed to hear what he would say . "Yeah, turn around."

He let go off my waist so I could turn around to how I was before so my back was against his chest but this time it felt different because he was extra close to me , so close till the point I could his You know against my back. .

He buried his face in the crook of my neck as our fingers were tangled together . "Aren't you gonna be cold ?" I asked

I felt him shake his head "not when I have you here also."

"Are you normally this nice or is it becusee it's just me?"

He chuckled "well yes I've been known as a dick still am but I'm just nice to you ,
I don't know there's something about you , that's just lures me-"

"Shhh, do you see that?" I asked pointing towards the hooded figure which was climbing over the fence and others following after it . But the looks of it they had guns in their arms .

"Oh fuck, come with me-"

"Wait where are we going ?"

"Someplace safe ? But first I need to get something stay behind me okay?"

"What about you-"

He placed his hands on my face "just please listen to me I don't want you to get hurt." I winced as I heard glass shattering . 

"Okay."
