Chapter 48

Alessandros POV

"I promise I wont get mad , actually depends what it is."

"Baby it has to do with why I canceled."

"okay."

"So I got a message to go into the kitchen and I find Maria there-"

"I fired her how did she get in?"

"I'm not sure but she gave me a burner phone which had a number on it and I had to call it and when I did paisley answered , she stsrted saying how she wanted you back and she wasn't gonna stop until she got you back , she then threatened me and you and I got scared because someone how she knew about our date and when I asked you , you said the only person which knew was Gary."

"If Maria knew of our location then so does paisley, my men and I had suspicions that she was working with fernando and if she's working with fernando then he too knows our location."

"What do you mean?"

"They probably tortured her for information it's the mafia I know how it works , but why we're not safe here , I want you to go get a bag and pack we're going somewhere else I need to inform Vincenzo so he knows ."

I never knew someone so close to me could betray me. I never had suspicions of Gary because I trusted him , he watched me grow up as he used to work for my father .

I couldn't believe this .

I rang vinces phone hoping he would pick up and he did "I was just about to call you ."

"I know who the mole is and fernando aware of our location we need to. Relocate where are you ?"

"At a hotel Mabel and I got attacked-"

"What?!"

"Yes some guy who works for fernando, he tried to kidnap her , we're okay now but she's scared right now ."

"Okay I'll come bud meet you guys there to talk it out properly , vince you know this is war right?"

"I know Alessandro, I'll see you soon bye."

"Bye."

I walked into the closet grabbing an extra duffel bag I was gonna need it . I slipped  on my black shirt along with my black jeans placing my leather jacket over it .

As I was at my side of the closet I pushed my clothes aside and put the code in revealing a safety room , I walked in taking all the weapons which was in here and placing them inside the duffel bag .

I walked back out to find mikayla attempting to fit her jeans on , it was a struggle but she managed , I smiled at her shaking my head

"We're going to the same hotel as vince okay?"

"Yeah."

"Mikayla if anything happens just know I love you so much-"

"Nothings gonna happen and I love you too." I pressed my lips against hers for a quick second before pulling away ."I put some of your stuff in here because I know for sure that bag your carrying doesn't have any clothes in it ."

I kissed her forehead murmuring a small thanks. "We gotta go you got everything you need?"  

"Yeah." I took the bag she was carrying from her because I didn't want her to carry anything heavy . 

We made our way downstairs and towards the garage "pick a car ."

"That one ," she pointed towards my black Mercedes Benz and I reached for the key which was on the rack walking towards it.  I threw the duffel bags in the trunk before opening the door for her . I went around the other side and got in the drivers seat.

"How far is the hotel?"

"Twenty five minutes or so."

"Okay, can you put the heating on im cold ."

"Okay are you hungry ?"

"Not really." I kissed the side of her head squeezing her thigh "okay love."

As we were in our way towards the hotel I noticed a SUV which had been behind us for quite a while .I took a left instead of going right attempting to loose the driver "babe where are you going?"

"We're being followed amore."

"Do you know who?" 

"No baby don't panic , I want you to climb to the back seat pull the seat down and get the duffel back in the trunk can you do that?"

"Okay." She unbuckled her belt climbing into the back seat ."baby I got it ."

"Okay there's a pistol inside get two of them ."

I glanced in my rear view mirror to see the Black SUV catching up with us , I pressed my foot against the gas pedal giving the car more speed . She climbed back into the passenger seat about to give it me "no hold it ."

"What now?"

"I want you to swap with me."

"Babe, we can't do that without stopping the car ."

"Come on my lap ." I said as I pushed my seat back she done exactly as I asked and as much as I wanted to do other things right there and then but we couldn't . She placed her hands on the steering wheel placing her feet on the gas pedal as I removed mine I moved to the passenger seat rolling my window down but not all the way .

"Now baby I want you to drive fast but not to fast ."

"Okay."

I pointed my gun at their windshield and smiled at my aim when it smashed. I was aiming for their tires it would slow them down and give us more time to get away . I aimed once more and the car spin around multiple times before crashing into a lamppost .

"Yes." I smiled "we did it ."

"What way should I go ?"

"Right the straight ahead ." 

"Once we get there you need to rest okay?"

"Yeah definitely."
