I saw the messages flooding in like the plague. Reading every single one of them, while holding the phone with my shaking hands.
I swallowed the knot in my throat as I didn't bother to reply anymore. I had said everything I wanted to say. More than I actually planned to.
Taking one last look at the conversation, I closed my phone. With one last longing look at it, I swung my phone into the water with a neat curve.
A last splash and a string of air bubbles came up, before I saw it sinking into the crystal clear water.
I turned around. Also figuratively turning my back towards this episode of my life. I was going to start over.
Without the demons of the past.
