"Reincarnated" As An Overmind

Kaylee was aware she was awake, but her new companion was not, judging by the alarm still blaring directly into her mind. Alarms being sentient was a bad thing, as it led to things such as having to get up for your alarm to stop.

That and having to deal with remembering you got your throat slit. Then gained control of a hivemind. On a completely different topic, I have dark vision now, I guess.

When adapting my body to withstand the power gained from becoming an [Overmind], I simply had to gain the ability to see in the dark. Not that I'm complaining, of course, but in all honesty, the walls of the cave being this fleshy is simply... unsettling on a primal level. Like I shouldn't be here, but at the same time due to the [Overmind] Class, I simply see it as an extension of myself. Quite a jarring sensation.

Now though, as I'm walking around, there are many signs my [Race] has changed as well, perhaps even [Species]. Of course, I can't help but check my status page, and honestly? I am not as weak as I'd thought for what amounts to a glorified management unit.
