We are halfway done with the classes and are sitting in the cafeteria. Least to say, my exam went pretty well, hopefully I will pass with flying colors.

The sudden buzzing makes me look up and I see my husband making his way with his group towards his designated table, while the poor first years scurry out of the seat, emptying it for the prince and his train.

He looks around the cafeteria and his gaze settles at me for a second before he looks down at his phone. On hearing a ping from my phone, I open it to see Arjun's message.

How was your exam?
Arjun

It was great. Thankfully, there was only one question that I didn't know:)
Samira

Ahhh...Well done wifey. Proud of you😘
Arjun

I look up to see him looking at me and giving me a wink. I look down at the table to stop him from noticing the blush on my face.

"OMG! Arjun just winked at me. Did you guys see?" The other girls start gushing and asking if she has met Arjun in private ever.

"I told you, I went to meet him at the locker room yesterday and let's just say he puts his mouth at good use instead of talking. He even told me, he likes me back."

Did Arjun really- No, no, Arjun will never do that to me, right?

I hear few girls chatter at the table behind me and suddenly the reason of my redness has changed from shyness to seething anger. I fist my hand tightly around my coffee cup, forgetting it was a styrofoam cup and spilling hot coffee all over the back of my hand.

"Ahhhh.." I groan in pain. Anmol holds my hand and drags me to the nearby sink. He turns on the faucet and puts my hand under cold water.

"What the hell were you thinking? Are you stupid or what?" He questions.

"I wasn't paying attention."

"Sure, you weren't. Look it is all red, let's go and get something applied over this."

"No, no, I am fine." I retreat my hand from his grasp feeling someone's burning gazes at my side. I return to my table and at the same time my phone chimes.

Behind the locker room, now.
Arjun

I look up to see he is not present at his previously occupied place. I pick my bag up and make my way out of cafeteria.

"Anmol, I need to issue a book from the library, I will see you later."

"But Maira, you need to apply some ointment over your hand."

"I will get it done. Don't worry. See you in the class." Saying this I rush from there.

I reach the back of the building and am looking for Arjun when I am pulled into a hug from behind. I am about to let out a scream when the familiar musky scent of my husband engulfs my senses. He turns me around to face him and takes hold of my hand which is completely red.

"What were you even thinking? Are you crazy?!" He is legit shouting and at this point I am so scared, I cannot even ask him to keep his voice low. I close my eyes, not wanting to look at his angry face and hoping to muffle down his loud tone.

Not hearing anything, I open my eyes to see him looking at me with concern.

"Is it hurting?" He caresses my cheek and wipes away the stray tears that have escaped. He opens the ointment that I now see in his hand and starts applying it on the back of my hand. I let out a hiss at the sudden coldness against the red skin while Arjun blows on it in an attempt to lessen the pain.
