Arjun's POV:
It is Samyra's birthday today and I wanted to make this day special for her, afterall you don't turn 21 everyday. The day was going well until I came across something that made my blood boil.
I was in the locker room changing after the practice when I saw a flyer in my locker. I turned the flyer and saw red around me. I tore the flyer in pieces before shutting my locker door loudly and seeing Yash making his way towards me, looking a bit tensed. I can tell by his reaction that he already saw what I just saw.
It was a morphed picture of Myra in skimpy clothes and her phone number, along with a call me headline. If that was not enough, there was another blingy line at the bottom stating "special birthday discounts" for the day.
"Arjun-"
"Find and collect all the flyers you can and Yash, just find out who did this. Meanwhile, I need to go and check on Myra and make sure she doesn't get to know about this. I cannot let this ruin her birthday at any cost." I tell Yash and leave before he can say anything. I immediately make my way towards the cafeteria hoping Samyra has not talked to anyone or no one has messaged her about this. It is still kinda early in the day and so, I can only hope people have not gotten to know about it yet.
I look in the class where she should have been but seems like it has ended earlier today. I take the left turn to see my wife standing near the cafeteria door and few boys making their way towards her. By the looks of it I can tell that they have seen the flyer. I immediately go and stand behind her, glaring down at them. They back off realising she is not alone. She turns around, feeling my hand in her waist and I can see a relief and shine reflect in her eyes.
Thankfully, she doesn't know any it. I need to get her away from this place and do something about her phone too.
I ask her if we can leave for the day but of course she denies since she doesn't wanna miss her class. I reluctantly drop her to her class. I take her phone and quickly change the settings wherein I divert all calls and messages to my phone. I know insta won't be a problem since she only has few people as friends and her account is on private. I act as if I am on a call while doing this so that she doesn't get suspicious. I return her phone quickly and decide to wait outside the class.
I hear my phone ringing and take it out. "Yes, Yash?"
"Arjun, I have collected the flyers from wherever I thought they could have been placed like all our lockers and cafeteria and even looked at the notice boards to make sure..."
"What is it Yash?"
"We don't really know how many more are there, if there are copies of this online, if they have been circulated already and what if people have already contacted Samyra or messaged her."
"No, I have managed that, I have diverted all her calls and messages to my phone now. Her Instagram doesn't have anyone who will send this to her. She received calls from multiple unknown numbers which I have deleted so she cannot call them back. I have made her WhatsApp settings in a way that she cannot be added to any group without a link of the same. I have turned off her mobile data and knowing she isn't a big fan of chatting, I can just hope she doesn't notice it."
"Well, Arjun, I will get back to the security cameras and see if I can find out who put the flyers in the locker room."
"Yeah, do that." I get off the call and think of the person who can dare to do such a thing. I don't want to make any assumptions and therefore, I am waiting for some sort of confirmation from Yash before I kill the person who has done this. I see my knuckles turning white due to my tight grip on the railing opposite to Samyra's class. I wait for Samyra's class to get over as I don't want to leave her alone even for a second. Once she comes out and we leave, I thank God for giving me such a naive wife who isn't really active on social media. I might have invaded a bit of a privacy and logged into her WhatsApp web to delete any messages from unknown numbers on the topic. I am thankful that she had logged into her account from my laptop and didn't log out.
