Arjun's POV:
I am missing Myra so much that all I want is to go to her and hug the life out of her. I tried to contain myself from doing anything that might disturb her on her trip like calling her and texting her every second, like I wanted to but it all broke when she called me and told me she misses me too and hoped that I was there with her. There was something in her voice that made me worry about her and so, I decided to act on my promise and go to her. I told her that I am one phone call away and that is true. So, now here I am at the hotel where my wife is supposed to be. I haven't yet decided how to find her room, so let's hope I don't end up in the wrong room.
I approach the receptionist and ask for Samyra's room and after showing them my identity card and Samyra and my marriage certificate, they finally allow me to go to get room. I reach the room and knock. There's a possibility that I might have to sleep in the hallway seeing my wife's deep sleep. I decide to wait for few minutes before finding a recourse to my stranded self. I hear the door unlock and there she is, my wife. Samyra is standing rooted in her spot and so I decide to break the silence.
"Hi, wife."
"Arjun?"
"Yes?"
"Are you really here?" I let out a chuckle before saying yes.
"But why?"
"Because someone called me and told me that they missed me and wanted me here." Myra finally opens the door wide enough and jumps onto me. I wrap my arms around her petite frame to prevent us from falling while she is crushing my neck.
"Easy, wifey." I mutter with some difficulty. She loosens her hold but still keeps her head buried in my neck. Her breath hitting the base of my neck.
"Seems like someone missed me alot." I tease her.
"I missed you, Arjun. I missed you alot."
"See, this is why I told you not to come on this trip alone." I remark.
"You were right, I should not have." I sense the sudden sadness in her voice and move away from her. I see her looking down and raise her face to look at her properly.
"What is it, Myra?"
"Huh, what? Nothing."
"I know you are hiding something so you better tell that to me now."
"No, Arjun. There's nothing like that. Let's go and sleep, please. I am really tired." I decide to let things be right now and sleep since the three hours ride took a toll even at me. I grab her hand and before I can even pull her, I hear Myra let out a hiss. I turn around to see a pained look on her face. I remove my hand and see her bruised wrist. I immediately hold her forearm lightly, afraid to let her hand even move.
"What the fuck is this?" I ask her seriously.
"My hand?" She tries joking but I am in no mood of any jokes.
"Myra, tell me who did this."
"Arjun, let's talk about it tomorrow please. I am already very exhausted."
"Mrs. Samyra Arjun Kapoor, I want an answer in next three seconds or God forbid I am gonna do something you won't like at all." I hear my voice echoing down the hallway and soon Samyra realises the same and starts pulling me inside the room but I stay grounded.
"Arjun, please come inside. People are gonna come out hearing your loud voice."
"I don't care, you either tell me or we both stand in the middle of the hallway like this."
"Arjun, I will tell you, please just come inside." I enter the room and drop my bag in a corner before looking at her again.
"Speak." I tell her gravely.
