Arjun's POV:

Soon it's the weekend and it's the day of the party and I am getting ready. Half my mind does not want to go but the other half reminds me that it's my age to party and go out with friends even if I am married.

I get ready in some torn jeans and plain white t-shirt. I set my hair a bit and wear my Rolex watch. As soon as I finish keeping my wallet and keys in my pocket, the door of the room opens to reveal my wife in her cute powerpuff girls night dress. She looks at me top to bottom before giving me an appreciative look.

"Are you sure you cannot come?"

"Yes."

"Even if I beg?"

"Yes, even if you try to bribe me." I want to go to the party with Samyra but seeing her reluctance I understand how out of the place she might feel and so, I decide to let it be.

"Fine, I will go alone." I tell her.

"Go and enjoy yourself but don't you dare touch alcohol." She tells me sternly.

"Ay ay Captain!" I give her a salute before closing in on her and giving her a quick peck.

"Bye."

"Byeeeeee. Come back soon." I hear her yell back.

I get in my car and proceed to the club where the party is taking place. On my way, I ponder over the change in Samyra's and my relationship over the past week and eventhough we have somewhat returned to normal, it's always like she is treading around me while talking to me or vice versa. As soon as I reach there, I see my entire team lounging in one corner and half the club is filled with my college peeps. I make my way towards my team to realise what actually is going on. All the guys are sitting watching some match and drinking. That's not the problem, the problem is them having girls with them. All the single guys have random girls with them whose name they are not going to even remember tomorrow. The few others who do have girlfriends are with them in their sweet little bubble.

I proceed towards the bar and get a virgin mojito for myself. I look around and seeing no one who can give me some company, decide to resort to my phone. I open Instagram and scroll for few minutes before shooting a quick text to Samyra.

Wish you were here! -Arjun

She gives me an instant reply.

Aren't you at a party? -Samyra

And that's supposed to mean? -Arjun

That you don't have time to text me🤦🤦 -Samyra

But I am getting bored and missing you, alot. -Arjun

Arjun, go and try mingling with your friends. You are there to enjoy, not to crib to me about my absence. -Samyra

Fineeeeeeee. -Arjun

Saying this, I close my phone and go towards the couch and sit with the guys. I am sipping on my drink and talking to them when suddenly a girl comes out of nowhere and sits on my lap. She turns to look at me and I don't even know who she is.

"Hey, Arjun." I don't know what I am supposed to do. I mean I cannot throw her off, or can I? I see her leaning in, and not knowing what else to do, I immediately stand up which ultimately does result in the girl falling down.

"I am so sorry!" I tell her before forwarding my hand to help her get back on her feet. She gives me an angry look before getting up without my help and stomping off again in the unknown from where she came.

I sit with on the bar where few classmates of mine come and talk to me while getting their drinks before leaving again. I wanted to get a beer but knowing that Samyra is gonna kill me if she gets to know this, I limit myself to non-alcoholic drinks.
