 A Repost

"Noo?" Ohm ran towards the swings at the park near Fluke's house once he spotted the latter was crying. He felt bad, he thought the smaller boy was crying because he came late, for about... five minutes?

"Hey..." Ohm greeted the crying boy; squatting before him. "Why are you crying? I'm so—" He couldn't finish off his sentence as Fluke suddenly hugged him by his neck and cried even harder. "P'Ohm~" Fluke called out his name between his sobs. "What's wrong, Noo?" Ohm rubbed Fluke's back gently as to chill down the crying boy.

"I'm so sad." Fluke answered within hiccups. "Why?" Ohm hesitantly broke the hug; cupping Fluke's face and sweeping the tears away. "P'Kao..." Fluke started sobbing again at the mention of his older brother's name. "Yes? What's wrong with him?" "He told me that... that.. The Tooth Fairy is not real." Again, Fluke's tears rolled down unstoppably.

Ohm sighed. He's predicted that the day where Fluke cried over the Tooth Fairy issue would come. But he didn't think that it'd come just when he just lost his tooth a few days ago. It seriously was cruel of P'Kao, Ohm thought.

"So, is it true that the Tooth Fairy isn't real? Like P'Kao said, Tooth Fairy is just a character in a movie to give the children false hope?" Fluke looked at Ohm expectantly; as if silently teleported his wishes to Ohm to deny it.

Ohm bit his lip, thinking hard the way to answer Fluke's question without breaking the latter's heart even more. He, unlike Fluke, was raised to not believe in such a thing, so it didn't bother him that much when he found out that somehow Tooth Fairy physically was not real. But the smaller boy was different.

Fluke still paid all of his attention to the taller boy before his eyes. When there's no sign that Ohm would answer him, he then continued to tell the latter what his hyung had told him.

"P'Kao also told me that through the years, it was mommy who pretended to be Tooth Fairy that came to my bedroom and put down the money on my pillow. He then told me, we might check it out later, whether what he said was true or not. It's not true, right, P'Ohm?"

Ohm almost gave in to those pretty brown eyes which pleaded him desperately, but he knew it's wrong if he said, 'No, of course not. Your P'Kao just teased you. Tooth Fairy is absolutely real.' for he realized the effect if by any chance his Noo found out the truth behind his words someday.

So, instead, "Noo, listen. What your P'Kao said is not totally wrong. I me—" "So he didn't lie? It was mommy and daddy who lied to me? Why did mommy and daddy have to lie to me and tell the truth to P'Kao only? Do they hate me?" Fluke cried his heart out loud.

"NO! That's ridiculous! Your mommy and daddy and hyung love you so much, you know." Ohm pulled Fluke to his embrace with too much effort, making the latter fall down from the swing and landed on his lap.

"Then why did they lie to me?" Fluke buried his face on the crook of Ohm's neck; sniffing. "Your parents didn't lie to you, at least not on purpose. You have to listen to me first, okay?" Fluke pulled slightly and nodded. He, by that time, looked at Ohm in anticipation.

"Noo, remember the fairy tales your mommy used to tell you?" Ohm started and Fluke nodded immediately. "Do you think they really exist?" Fluke frowned; indicating he was deeply in thought. "I'd love to believe they do exist but didn't you tell me that they don't practically exist as they are in the story?" Ohm smiled at the answer. "Then, do you still remember what I said about that?" Nods from Fluke again.

"You said that fairy tales do occur in real life, but in different forms and not exactly like the story were. Then, they were created so that children, using their imagination, hopefully would have faith in what they should believe in and would know what is wrong and right. They gave children hope and happiness to face the real world." Fluke answered innocently.

"Tooth Fairy is more less the same with fairy tales." Ohm said, gently wiping the remnant tears on Fluke's cheeks. "So?" Fluke asked back, biting his lip; little disappointment could be seen in his eyes.

"Tooth Fairy does exist in real life." Ohm smiled as he stroked Fluke's hair affectionately. "But not exactly like it was in the movie or such." Fluke butted in; pouting. "So is mommy my Tooth Fairy?" the light brown haired boy asked. "It doesn't have to be your mom only." "Why? How?" "What do you think the Tooth Fairy brings to us?" Ohm eyed Fluke lovingly. "Money." Fluke stated firmly; making Ohm smile blissfully. "So, everyone who gives me money could be classified as my Tooth Fairy?" the smaller boy widened his eyes in excitement once the thought of what Ohm tried to imply hit him. Ohm nodded in agreement; chuckling.

"So, feeling better now?" "Yes, P'Ohm. Thank you so much." Fluke replied with a soft kiss on Ohm's cheek. "You're always welcome, Noo." Ohm smiled contentedly.
