Out of all the awkward situations you've been in, this is the only time where you really wished the ground would open and eat you up.

"Grandma, he's my best friend!" Ohm has been repeating that sentence for the past 10 minutes but with the way the older woman was looking at them, a slight smile on her face, Fluke knew she didn't really believe her grandson, for whatever reason.

"Sure, sure. Whatever you young people call it these days. Boyfriend, best friend, same thing," she replied, sipping on her tea. Which Fluke had to scoff at, seriously.

"It's literally not!"

Ohm let out an exasperated sigh beside him, slumping on the couch in defeat. "I swear to god, she's getting older and crazier," he knew Ohm only meant for him to her that but (un)fortunately grandma still have an amazing hearing despite being over 70 and quickly glared at her grandson with a warning, "I heard that," she hissed.

Ohm quickly sat straight and gulped, still the fearful little boy who was scared of his grandmother. "Sorry grandma, I was joking," he muttered and Fluke swore he could hear the shake in his best friend's voice.

He couldn't help but chuckle.

"At least your boyfriend finds it funny," and there it is again.

Since they arrived about 10 minutes ago, Ohm's grandmother was set to believe that the two of them were boyfriends, dating each other. He has no idea where she got that impression from. He merely got out of Ohm's car and was about to greet the older woman when she cheerfully pulled him into her hug and exclaimed, "Finally! I got to meet Ohm's boyfriend! I've heard a lot about you!" to say he was speechless was an understatement.

"W-What?" it was Ohm's voice who brought him back from his stupor and he was suddenly so confused.

"This is Fluke, your boyfriend, right? Manaow said that he is," Manaow. Ohm's older sister. Of course.

She's been their number one shipper, whatever the heck that is, and of course she's going to be telling her grandmother about her little brother and his so-called boyfriend. And because of that, no matter what Ohm said, she just wouldn't believe him.

So for the next 2 hours of them in the house, grandma Ritpratsert kept calling Fluke 'Ohm's boyfriend' and somehow the two of them were too tired to correct her and just let her be. The key to winning was silence, they said. But Fluke didn't think that works in this case because when they bid goodbye to the older woman, she hugs him, tighter than when she hugged Ohm, and whispers to his ears to "comeback whenever you want to. I can't wait to get your wedding invitation," and if he was blushing and Ohm asking him what she said, Fluke merely shook his head and kept quite.

What he didn't tell his best friend was all the ride back to their dorm, his grandmother's word kept playing in his head.

Sure, their friends always said that they were too close to each other and they acted like they were more than just best friends, he and Ohm just pushed those words aside and ignored them. But now that even Ohm's grandmother was saying it, it somehow got into his head.

He suddenly looked back at the way they acted with each other. How they only met each other 5 years ago through mutual friends and just clicked, and after that, they spent every waking day together. It wasn't weird to them that Ohm was always so attentive to him, as he was with the taller male. Sure, Ohm sometime's treats him like he was a damsel in distress, which he is not! But he wouldn't lie and say he didn't like it.

He's always been alone since he was little, being raised in an adoption shelter and to have someone to care for him was nice. But he was like that towards Ohm too. He remembered one time Ohm was sick and had to skip class so he of course cut classes too, to take care of his best friend.

He remembered how Prem said that he acted like a worried housewife and how he didn't even argue over it. His only focus was the shivering male on his bed. Yes of course, they shared a bed despite having two perfectly working beds but Ohm's bed has become their extra compartment for stuff. So it was convenient to just share.

But now that he thinks back, they surely acted like lovers rather than best friends. Heck, who was he kidding? Who were they kidding?

"What are you thinking about? You've been quiet since we left grandma's house," Ohm said once the car stopped at a red light. "What did she say to you that got you thinking like this?" Of course he'll keep asking, he's persistent like that.

Fluke looked at the taller male, like really looked at him. Ohm's handsome, it's widely known that he is handsome. He was tall, taller than most people and he was kind, funny and all around a perfect guy. "Ohm, wanna try?"

Ohm raised his eyebrow and started driving once the light turned green. "Try what?"

"Dating," luckily it was an empty street and no car was behind them because they could've ended up in the hospital, worse, died, with the way Ohm just suddenly hits the brake.

"What?!"

Fluke turns to look at Ohm, face serious. "I said, do you wanna try dating each other?"

Ohm's already widened eyes kept looking at his best friend, checking if he was joking. But he wasn't. "Fluke, don't joke with me," and started the car again before stopping on the side properly.

"I am not. I mean, everybody's saying that we are. So why not just do it for real?" the smaller of the two said.

Ohm let out a sigh. "Fluke, this is serious. You know I don't just date people like that,"

"I know. And you know me too. The two of us never were in a relationship, at least not when we were friends. But I think we can make it work, we've been acting like one anyways. You know I love you and I know you do too. Sure it wasn't that love but surely the feelings will develop, right? The only thing is putting a label on it,"

The taller, yet the younger, of the two look at Fluke. Somehow what he said was making sense to him. He does love Fluke, he's the second person after his family that he loves. Surely it wouldn't be hard to fall in love with him, right? Fluke was an angel, a perfect man. And when he thinks about what people will say when he tells them that Fluke Natouch is his boyfriend, he smiles.

"Okay, let's do it,"

Fluke smiles when he sees Ohm was smiling. "Great! So from today on, we're boyfriend,s" the two of them laugh. Ohm nodded. "Boyfriends," he repeated, then started the car again, going to the road to continue their ride back.

"Your grandma said she's waiting for our wedding invitation,"

And that was the second time that day that Fluke almost died because of Ohm's sudden brake.
