Inside the alley, Bakugo gives me cash and his shoe size before heading to the concession stand to get food and drinks. I pay for the games and shoes using the cash he gave me and we meet at our lane to get ready for our competition.
I happened to wear open toed shoes but Bakugo thought ahead and handed me an extra pair of socks he brought with him.
"Dynamight??!?" A shrill female voice calls as I finish putting my shoes on. His socks are a little big but I hike them up and make the best of it. I'll use it as an excuse if I lose.
"Yeah?" He replies, already sounding irritated as he tightens the velcro on one of his shoes.
"Oh my god it is you!" The female fan sits down next to him and drapes her arm over his back "You're even hotter in person! I never thought I'd be so lucky to run into you"
"Cool." He replies curtly.
"Is this your sister?" She asks, glaring at me. I don't know why, but I feel irritated and jealous that she thinks she can touch him so freely.
"I'm his fuck buddy" I answer quickly, throwing her off kilter and meeting Bakugo's wide eyes as he snaps his head up.
"I'd appreciate if you'd get your hand off his back, it's probably sore from my nails dragging down his skin earlier today."
"I...." The girl takes her hand away and stands like she's stunned. "Um.... I'll get out of the way."
I watch as she takes quick steps back to her friends. She looks back once but when she sees my expression, she never looks our way again.
"That was effective" Bakugo stands in front of me, looking impressed. "I should have you with me all the time when I'm off duty"
"Sorry if I pushed a boundary. Just seemed like it would be the fastest way to get her to leave and then all the blame of being rude is on me" I turn away from him, a little embarrassed and sit down to enter our names in the bowling program.
" she just slung her arm over me like it was ok. I wanted to break it. You were right to do what you did. Be careful though. You'll end up in gossip columns."
"My colleagues wouldn't dare"
"Colleagues?"
"I'm a reporter."
He freezes. "Oh."
"Everything you tell me is off the record. I'm not the type that gives my profession a bad name" I explain, knowing exactly what he's thinking.
"I've always viewed reporters as rats" he admits
"Yeah I get that a lot." I type in my name and then a secret nickname for him into the computer. "But I don't print anything that anyone says to me without their expressed permission. Even with Eji tells me stuff that he is allowing me to print, I let him read the article first so that I make sure I didn't accidentally twist his words"
"Has he ever told you not to publish something?"
"A couple times."
"And did you?"
"Of course not!" I get a little offended "do you think we would still be friends if I betrayed him like that?"
"I think that dumbass would do anything for you, no matter what you did"
"Don't talk about him like that" I stand, getting on the chair to get in his face. He's taller than me but shorter than Kirishima. At this height, I would still be looking at kirishima's throat, but now I'm looking Bakugo in the eyes. "You don't have to be cruel to everyone."
