(EDITED)
I rushed into class, all eyes on me. Disgusted looks. Sure, without my makeup I did look ugly. It was because I was late for class, I had no time to do my makeup. "Whoa, girl, what happened to you?", Cass asked, scrunching up her face. I sighed and plopped down next to her, my bags slipping to the floor.
"I was almost late!", I protested, just as Jackson walked in. I mentally flinched. I did not want him to see this way, however, our eyes met. It was funny, he looked at me with the same lust and want as usual. He smiled, and I smiled sweetly back. At least I brushed my teeth.
Jackson went over to sit with his friend, Jeremiah Willson. "I know you're mates and all, but please, it's creepy, stop staring at him." ,Cass whispered in my ear, her eyes fixed on Jackson. I shook my head, just as our teacher, Mrs.Fellos, entered the room. She had orange hair in a bun at the back of her head, and her ocean blue eyes were frames with black, large glasses. She wore a black pencil skirt and a pink striped work shirt, her black heels clicking against the tile.
She was just gorgeous."Good morning class.", Mrs.Fellos said dully, as usual. She looked in her late 20s, as she searched the kid's faces. "Good morning, Mrs.Fellos!", the class echoed sleppily. One kid, Brian Sheldner, didn't respond, and it took me a while to realize he was sleeping. Mrs.Fellos walked over, a big book in her hands as she stood in front of Brian's desk. Bam! She let go if the book, which landed on the desk with a cloud of dust.
Brian shot right up."Oh my gawd, we're being attacked!", he screamed. The class laughed. Brian looked around, moving a hand through his dark brown hair until his eyes met Mrs.Fellos and his hand froze. "Mr.Sheldner, what do you think you are doing?!", she shouted, making the class flinch at her tone. She may be beautiful, but she sure was strict.
"Er... Um, I was tired.", Brian replied, but quickly shook his head when Mrs.Fellos growled."B-but I'm sorry, it w-was an a-ac-accident!" Mrs.Fellos nodded, her blue eyes still glaring at him. She made her way to the front and started teaching. But I wasn't listening. I was busy watching out of the corner of my eye at Jackson as he stared at me with want.
I huffed, trying to drag my eyes away, but he was too mesmerizing. I'm going mental!... Bam! A book was slapped onto my desk as my mind came back to reality. Mrs.Fellos stood in front of me, looking annoyed. There was a huge brown book on my desk. "Well, Ms.Moore?", she asked.
"Huh?", I asked back. What happened? The whole class burst out laughing. Well, this was embarrassing. I felt my cheeks turn a bright shade of pink. "I asked you a question, Ms.Moore.", Mrs.Fellos snapped."I want an answer.
"Um, I don't know, ma'am.", I replied honestly. She nodded.
"Well, you better know the answer next time!"
I didn't answer, I knew I wouldn't have to. She stalked away towards some other daydreaming kids. Why was Jackson staring at me? It was creepy, yet I was very pleased. You know what, things are getting awfully crazy. This is not the normal me. Can someone call 911?
...
...
...
I sniffed at the pine scented air. No, this was not the park. I was still on the pack's territory. Maybe I should shift, my wolf needs to be left free. I stripped my clothes off and shifted, feeling proud that I had a beautiful golden wolf with these unusually bright green eyes and pure white paws. Or lime green, really.
I howled, letting all my troubles go, and started to run. I heard thudding paw steps behind me. Wait, paw steps?
I turned around to see a brown wolf with brown eyes chasing me, his tongue hanging out of his mouth. Ugh, Jackson. I kept running, my spirits rising as he chased me around the lake. Finally I got tired and paused for a moment before two paws pushed me over and I fell to the ground. I growled playfully, then pushed him off of me. This felt so wrong, yet so right.
I pounced at him, tackling him. What was I doing?! I didn't know, I didn't care. All I cared about was being with Jackson. Maybe we could be friends. That is, if he keeps up his nice boy act. This time he toppled over, and it was me on top of him. I panted and got off of him, then ran off to go shift and get dressed.
I came back to find Jackson had also shifted and changed. He was grinning to himself, his dark brown hair sticking up in different places in a stylish way. He turned to looks t me, still grinning. "What was that for?", I asked in a friendly way.
He shrugged."Well, I came to find you only to find this extremely attractive she-wolf and couldn't help but go after her.", he replied.
I grinned."Oh, really? I wonder who she could be! Oh, I know! Me!"
Jackson laughed, making my stomach to a flip flop at his beautiful voice. "Alright, so what do you need?", I asked.
"Well, it's hard to hate you, whether at school or here, so I'm taking the risk. Truce?"
I smiled."Truce.", I agreed.
I laid my head on the soft dirt, some flecks of dirt sticking to my curls. Jackson laid down next to me, still grinning like an idiot. Heck, he looked like a mental murderer the way his eyes lit up and his grin was wider than any other I've seen. But still, it felt great to make that truce, I felt better about it because Jackson was my mate. No lovey dovey feelings, of course! Just friendship. That's all. Right?
Now we lay down, staring straight up at the clear blue sky. It was silent, not awkward, but comfortable. I sat straight up. "I bet you can't reach the bottom before me!", I exclaimed, then jumped for the water. Before I hit the water, I shifted, instantly becoming my golden wolf. I hit the water and paddled to the bottom. I hit the muddy dirt, and turned to see Jackson's wolf right behind me.
"Slow poke!", I exclaimed through mind link, adding a giggle.
"I would've beaten you if didn't have a big boost.", Jackson replied, adding his own laugh. We stared at each other for a minute before I realized I needed air. I frantically paddled to the surface, gasping for air. As I paddled for the shore, I realized that Jackson hadn't come up for air.
I looked around, Jackson still not anywhere to be found."Jackson!", I called through mind link. He didn't respond. Alarmed, I looked towards the bottom if the crystal blue lake. There, in the water, was Jackson's limp body. I panicked, swimming back under and towards him.
Panic surged through my wolf at the sight of her mate laying unconscious underwater. He was fine a few seconds ago, what happened? As I touched the bottom, I nudged Jackson with my paw. He didn't stir and my heart just stopped. However, I knew he couldn't of died, I haven't felt a pain go through me yet. I sat there, underwater, sadly, and I just stared at my mates floating body...
Suddenly a paw swiped at me and I gasped, realizing that I had started daydreaming. Underwater. I looked up and saw Jackson's wolf smirking at me. If you call it a smirk. His lips were curled upwards to bare his sharp, white teeth. I growled, this time seriously, before I remembered we were underwater.
Almost instantly, I felt as if my chest had packed together in a tight way, begging for air to come through. I jumped up and met the surface, the fresh air like the smell of freshly baked cookies to my nose. I padded to the shore. Jackson came up and swam after me, causing me to growl louder at him. He just stood there and smirked.
"So you do care!", he said through mind link.
"Duh! Do you think I'd like to witness people drown?!"
Jackson chuckled in my head.
"I know you'd love to see Clara drown."
I froze at those words. Clara. He, my mate, said another female's name. It sounded wrong and very foreign, and made my wolf angry. I growled.
"What's wrong?", Jackson asked, growing worried.
"You said another female's name."
To my surprise, Jackson just chuckled."Sheesh, jealous much?", he asked sarcastically. My growls died down as I chuckled with him.
"Um, no, not until I turned 18."
Jackson continued to chuckle. I lay on my belly, my head resting on my paws as Jackson copied me.
"Okay, so what exactly are we doing at the lake?", Jackson asked.
"Just thought fresh air would serve me well.", I replied."You saw how bad I looked this morning, yea?"
"Huh? You looked great!"
I stared hard at him, but he seemed to be telling the truth. I sighed."You always think I look great!", I exclaimed.
"Um, that's because you do."
"Uh huh. Sure."
We stared at each other, enjoying the moment for a while.
"Well, well, well.", a female voice said, making Jackson and I jump."Our Alpha is bonding with the enemy!" Out of the blue came Clara, Sienna, Ashely, Katrina, Bella-Lin, Katie, and Maxina. Yay. Popular mean girls to the ruination. Jackson stared coolly up at them. "Well, Clarisse, I have to be nice to my mate and you have to be nice to your future Luna.", he said.
The girls gasped. "She-What?!"
Clara glared at me with jealousy and hatred. "You little b*tch!", she screamed. "I wanted to be Luna! Jackson promised me he didn't have a mate! I want to be Luna!"
I felt like quivering in fear at her tone, but I was so overwhelmed by anger to do so.
"Clara.", Jackson said warningly."We were only 13 years old. I didn't know I even had a mate yet."
Clara glared at me, her eyes slowly turning pitch coal black. "You little...", she yelled running towards me with full force. I narrowed my eyes. I was a kickass werewolf, not a puny pup. I leaped up, my claws extended, long and sharp. Clara shifted into her orange fur colored werewolf, her icy slits of eyes piercing me. I lunged at her, my teeth digging into her shoulder.
"Clara!", Jackson shouted. He glanced at me. "I'll get your friends, Eliza, I'll be back." he shifted, showing his glory, but I didn't mind. I still bad a grip on Clara's shoulder as she yowled out into the air.
It wasn't long before my friends came, glaring at Clara's friends. Jackson trailed after them, stopping abruptly as he saw us. "Whatcha gonna do, now?", Katrina sneered at Macie. She lunged at her, her long honey brown hair and flowing behind her as her vicious ocean blue eyes turned black. Macie, well, she was always in her ninja mode when it came to a fight. She shifted, her fur short and black. Her eyes gleamed gold as she lunged for Katrina's ear.
Mia worked fast. She lunged quickly for Sienna, who was caught by surprise. She gasped as Mia shifted, her bright yellow fur and emerald eyes flashing dangerously. Sienna shifted under Mia's grip, changing into her gorgeous flame colored wolf, her honey golden eyes gleaming.
Then there was Cass. She whipped her red hair around, showing off her looks. Then she shifted into her unusually attractive blood red furred and silver eyed wolf. She lunged at Bella-Lin, the beautiful Asian girl with the long orangish brown hair in a ponytail and brown eyes. She was ready when Cass came at her, shifting into her orange brown wolf with the electric golden eyes. Then there was Maxina, Ginny, and Ashely.
Jackson eyed them with disgust and shifting. He was attacking three girls. Females. The Alpha was attacking three if his own females. They were females! Ever heard of "never hit a girl"?
Maxina was a Spanish girl, her long black hair touching her butt and her hazel eyes flashing. She shifted into a gray wolf with clear yellow lime eyes and attacked Jackson. It made me want to rush to his side, but I knew he could handle himself.
Ashely has dyed her hair to baby blue, and her eyes their natural dull gray. She shifted, instantly becoming her naturally dark brown wolf. She, too, lunged at Jackson.
Then all there was left was Ginny. She was like her older twin sister, Ashely. She had hot pink hair, and she had put in contacts to make her eyes seem purple. She shifted, becoming an exact replica of her sister, dark brown and dull gray eyed.
Our war lasted for about an hour before all the adults waltzed out of the shadows.
"Alpha!", one man, Dawson the Beta, shouted, absolutely stunned."Stop this chaos!" My mom stepped out, a mixture if shock, angriness, and concern in her eyes. Uh oh. I'm in big trouble.
