(EDITED)
When I woke up, I was in a small room with nothing but a bed. I sat up, noting that there was a lone window overlooking a tiny empty beach. Okay, I was far from my pack house. "Jackson?", I tried saying through mind link, but I knew I wasn't in his territory. It was no use.
I got up and walked over to the door. Trying to turn the knob, I felt disappointed when I found it was locked. How the hell am I supposed to get out of here?! Well there is a window. But its too far down for even a werewolf to jump down. I could die! So here I am, stuck in this room, all alone. I'll die mate-less and all alone.
No Macie. No Cass. No Mia. All alone. Tears found their way to my eyes and started to spill with me hopelessly wiping them away with the palm of my hand. It was no use. The tears kept spilling, I kept wiping.
Just the the door flew open, making me jump in surprise. A tall man with light brown shake streaked with black walked in, his almost black eyes filled with lust. "Hello, babe.", he said, his voice husky. He moved towards me and took both of my wrists in his hands. "Ugh, get away from me!", I screamed in disgust. I was 18, he looked 30.
"Oh, come on, babe, don't be like that.", he breathed, as his face was only an inch from mine. I could smell the beer from his breath. He's been drinking. I screamed, bringing up my knee to kick him in the nuts. Score! He screamed in agony, falling to the floor. Well it serves him right.
I ran to the door and flung it open, because, you know, he couldn't have locked himself in. I came to a lonely hallway, and deciding there was no other choice, ran through it. Then I came into a small lounge room with stairs in the corner. I ran down them and into the small messy kitchen. There were two doors. I decided to check out the closest one. To my disappointment and panic, it was a bathroom.
Just then, the rogue who had kidnapped me walked down the stairs. He took one look at me and ran at me. I squealed as he lunged his hand inches from where I used to be, for I bolted for the second door. I flung it off it's hinges, not really caring, and found myself in a small living room. Everything is so small in this house! Running for the front door, or at least a door that led outside, two bony but strong hands grasped me. I screamed. I was done for.
Just then the door bell rang. "You stay right here, missy.", the man's lips brushed against my ear. I watched helplessly as the man walked over and opened the door halfway. "Who are you?", he asked to the man just outside.
"I'm Alpha Jackson from the pack nearby.", a familiar voice said. Jackson! "Jackson?", I ask loudly so he could hear. His voice stopped and I could sense his relief and anger. "Eliza!", he called back. He pushed past my angry and bewildered kidnapper and saw me.
Rushing towards me, his hair looked ruffled and his eyes looked red. I can tell be hasn't slept for days. He pulled me into a hug. "Eliza!", he exclaimed. "You were gone for a week!" A freaking week?! I pulled away and, alarmed, and turned to my kidnapper. "You...", I whispered. I didn't have time to finish my sentence. My wolf took over, not exactly shifting, but my feelings were shared by her.
I ran towards him, my fist in the air. Just as I brought my fist down upon his face, I saw Jackson shift out of the corner of my eye. I guess he understood that he was my kidnapper, or should I say teennapper. He rushed towards the man, who's nose and mouth were dripping wet with blood. Ew. I didn't really want to see what Jackson was going to do, so I ran outside to wait. There, on the wooden porch, sat Macie, Cass, and Mia.
"Eliza!", they exclaimed, getting up and giving me hugs one by one. "Hi guys.", I said. I sat down where they were sitting. "Was I really out for a week?", I wondered aloud. Cass looked at me funny. "Yea...", she trailed. Oh, wow. "I slept for a freaking week!", I exclaimed, jumping up so suddenly that it made my friends jump.
Just then the door burst open and out walked Jackson with blood all over his body. I literally mean splattered all over his body. "Jackson!", I exclaimed, I reached out to hug him but dropped my arms when I realized that the blood would get all over me.
"Eliza, I've been worried!", Jackson exclaimed, hugging me. Oh, ew. "Eeeeeew!", my friends cry, amused as they watched blood rub all over my already dirty clothes. I laugh. "Yuck.", I agree. Jackson smirks at me and the blood, making me want to slap that smirk to another planet. "Hey!", I said. I punch his arm, ignoring the tingles that shoot through it. "You got blood all over me! You're a jerk!"
Jackson's face expression turned into one of sadness and regret. What? Then it dawned in me. I called him a jerk. We were supposed to have a truce, I guess he mistook it for a sign that our truce was breaking. "It's not.", I just said. He looked at me, confused clearly written upon his face. "It's not broken.", I said. Jackson became relieved, his brown enticing eyes calm and lusty.
I chuckled to myself, just as I come to realization. There is blood on Jackson, and being the self-centered girl I am, I didn't give a shit about it. "Shoot.", I muttered, just as I look up worriedly at Jackson.
"Is that blood yours?!", I demanded. Jackson shook his head, anger clouding his eyes.
"No.", he replied. "I killed the rogue. He's dead now."
I gasped along with my friends. Him? Kill a rogue? For me? Yes, I know rogues are dangerous and wanted killed and me and Jackson just had a truce, but... Rogues are dangerous! Not even an Alpha would go through the trouble of killing one! And Jackson just earned my friendship. We're not that close and all.
"Y-you killed him?", I whisper, my wolf joyful that her mate just killed a rogue for her.
Jackson chuckled like it was no biggie. "Yea, his body is just right there-"
"Oh my gawd, you killed a rogue?!", Cass shrieked, shock written all over her face. Mia looked impressed, and as for Macie, well her eyes were wide with horror. I ran over to her and put my arm around her. "Aw, Mace, it's okay, the rogue is gone!", I said, hoping to comfort my friend.
"Yes, I did.", Jackson's voice was serious now. "And we have to go now."
Taking me by the hand, with my friends following, Jackson used his inhuman speed to get to our territory. Once we reached the pack house, I was greeted by a pair of strong, yet fragile arms. "Mom.", I whispered.
"Oh, my baby!", Mom cried, kissing the top of my head. "I've missed you so much!" I smile to myself as I turn around to see her. Her eyes were blood red and halfway open. It was just like when Dad died, she couldn't eat or sleep. I place a hand on Mom's shoulder and rub it there.
"Mom.", I said. "Please, go sleep. You look very tired. And also take a while to eat something. I'd be happy to cook."
"Oh, thank you, sweetheart, but I'll make my own food." Mom gave me a reassuring smile and a pat on the hand before walking inside.
I looked at Jackson, grinning from ear to ear. Gawd, I could just kiss him, he was so hot! He grinned back at me, and before I knew it, my arms were wrapped around his neck and my lips were in his. That was a mistake. Just then, Clara and her stupid jerks of some friends came around the corner.
I don't need more trouble, now do I?
