(EDITED)
I woke up feeling tired and my head hurt like crazy. "Here.", I heard a voice say. "Have some water." Someone placed a glass of water in front of me and I gulped it down, my dry throat instantly becoming less soar. "Thank you.", I croak. I look up at my nursery person and realize its Macie.

"Macie, what just happened?", I asked, suddenly remembering the incident we had. Maxie gave me a shy smile. "You mean three days ago?", she asked. My mouth flew open. Three days?! Well, it's better than a week.

Nodding, I told Macie to carry on. She nodded and looked out of the window. Where was I exactly? "You're in the pack's medicine house.", Macie said, reading my mind. "Just days ago, we found the little kids after the rogue attack, remember? Then Jackson and the rest arrived and Jackson mistook us as rogues and attacked you, ordering the rest to attack us. So yea."

Huh. So Jackson attacked me. What a wonderful mate. Please note the sarcasm.

"He didn't do it on purpose!", Macie defended. She is one heck of a mind reader.

"And no, I'm not a mind reader."

What the...?! She has to be. That little smile on her face proves everything. "Oh, Eliza, just because I'm smiling doesn't mean it proves anything." Mind reader. She burst out laughing, tears falling out of her eyes. What was so funny?

I looked up. Nothing. Then I realized something. Mind link. Okay, so let's see. I'll say: Hey, Macie, what's so funny now? Macie immediately stopped laughing and stared at me in surprise. Humph. What a secret keeper. Does she think I'm stupid?! Okay, maybe I was for a few minutes, but...

Just then the door burst open and in walked Clara. "Ha!", she exclaimed. "You got beaten by the Alpha. See? He doesn't want you, mutt." I smiled cooly. "Too bad.", I shot back. "It was an accident, ask him. Plus, guess who's not his mate, ey? You're not his, I am."

I was surprised at all the possessiveness I held inside me just for Jackson. Whoa. Clara and Macie, who sat quietly and angrily in the corner glaring at Clara, looked equally surprised. They stare at me with round eyes and gaping mouths. Clara's eyebrow was raised while Macie's eyebrows danced.

"What?!", I cried desperately, just as the door opened again and in came the devil himself.

"Oh my gawd, Eliza, you're still alive!", he gasped rushing to my side. He growled at Clara, motioning for her to get out. Maxie just sat there quietly, smiling to herself.

"Still alive?", I asked sarcastically. "Last time I checked, I was attacked by an Alpha. How could it possibly be better than a rogues?"

Jackson growled but quickly cleared his throat. "Well, hear me out, but I'm really sorry.", he apologized, sounding like he meant it. "I thought you were a rogue! How could I possibly know?!"

"Duh, sniff before you act, douchebag."

Jackson growled, sending chills through my wolf. Gosh, she needs to take a chill pill! He's just a boy!... That I don't really love very much. Right?

I was interrupted by the door slamming shut, and looking up to see Jackson still standing there, decided Macie just left. Shoot. He stared at me with anger. Oh, why did Macie leave me?! "What?!", I yell.

"You may not insult your Alpha!", Jackson barks. "I know what I'm doing!"

I stand up from my hospital bed. "Well guess what?!", I barked back. "I'm your Luna, and if you decide to boss me around, that won't go down well, sir! No, it won't. Because I get the privilege of bossing you around!"

Jackson's eyes gleamed with proudness. What the hell?! "Spoken like a true Luna.", he said softly, all traces of anger gone. I blinked up at him, realizing that I had gotten out of bed. As I collapsed down onto the bed, I continued to stare at Jackson. Spoken like a true Luna? What does that mean?

"Bye.", I said, turning over so that he couldn't see my face that was probably tomato red.

"No, I'm staying here.", I heard Jackson say. I sighed, once again turning to face him. "No, you're not.", I said. "It would be really uncomfortable, okay? Now get out."

Jackson hesitated for a moment before reluctantly walking out of the open door, closing it shut behind him. Ahh, peace and quiet.

I woke up to the terrible sound of crying. I looked up and saw Mom sitting down next to me, her head in her hands. "Mom.", I tried to say, but came out in a low whisper that could barely be heard. I tried to lift up my arm, realizing that I had no arm. I tried to cry out in surprise, but out came air. The door opened and in came the medicine man, followed by my friends and Jackson. They all had tears in their eyes. "I'm sorry, Julia, but your daughter is dead." Mom sobbed. I was so sorry to see her cry so much. And I was dead? No way! "I will kill those rogues, even if its the last thing I do!", Jackson yelled, tears in his eyes, a he punched the wall. Whoa, whoa. Rogues killed me?! I heard footsteps and turned to see my friends staring at me with calmness. "Wake up, Elizabeth.", they whispered together. "Wake up, it's just a terrible nightmare." My mom's voice joined theirs, then Jackson's, then our medicine man. Soon, many voices were in my head. I screamed, my voice finally coming to...

"Elizabeth!", Mia screamed. My eyes flew open as I looked around. My friends were next to me, squatting down on their knees. My mom and Jackson sat in chairs on the other side, while the medicine man stood at the foot of my bed. "I had a nightmare...", I said, unable to finish sentence.

"What about?", Mom asked worriedly.

"It was about me being dead because some rogues killed me."
