Huzzah! Chapter 32 is out!!! I've gone so far! *wipes a tear off cheek* I've gone so far... So today, at school, our teacher gave us another person's paper so that we could draw an illustration for their character. You know who I got?! My crush. Dun dun duuuuuuuuuuuun! |:O

I woke up, my head laying in something rather soft but hard at the same time. I sat up, my head pounding in relief. I looked around. It looked as if I was in my old room. "Yay!", a voice called. "You're awake." I looked up to see Cass. Oh. Right.
I rubbed my neck. "You seriously let me sleep on hard carpet while I'm pregnant?", I asked incredulously. "It's really uncomfortable, and the key to healthy new pups is a comfy mother."
Cass shrugged. "Hey, at least you woke up.", she said. She looked rather calm.
I got up, leaning to the side a little due to my heavy pups. "Careful.", Cass warned, grabbing my arm before I would have toppled over. "You don't want to hurt the pups, especially since you're giving birth in only 2 months."
I looked up in horror. Two months! I totally forgot! "I have to go.", I said. "Unless you want to come."
"I'll come, you really need an assistant these days."
I rushed out of the door, and, with the help of Cass, made it down the stairs. "So where are we going?", Cass asked as she guided me outside of the pack house.
"Out for a run.", I said casually. "It helps calm me down."
Cass was about to protest, but before she could, I ripped out of her grip and ran- more like waddled -behind a tree. Stripping down naked, I shifted into a rather fat golden wolf. Cass caught up to me, shaking her head in frustration. "Youre stubborn, you know that?", she huffed, stripping naked and shifting.
I padded ahead without ease. "See?", Cass said through mind link. "You can't even walk!"
"Oh, shut up.", I snapped back. "Every pregnant wolf needs a run."
Cass shut her mouth and didn't say a word until we were deep in the forest.
"We should turn back.", she said fearfully, sniffing at the air.
"No, we shouldn't.", I protested, waddling ahead. Cass jumped in my way, startling me. "We're turning back now.", Cass ordered. She was never one to order. But the amount of fear in her voice left me curious.
"Why?", I questioned.
Cass gave me a long, hard look with her wolf eyes. "Because I can smell danger.", she whispered. "We have to turn back."
"If it's the rogues, I'd be terribly happy to go on ahead.", I argued. "I'll beg them to take me to him."
"Who?", Cass asked, clearly confused as she say down.
Could she not remember? "K-kane.", I whispered. Just saying his name made my wolf cry. We were like siblings, we played, ate, and lived together. We would tell each other everything, we would comfort each other. It was great.
Cass looked like she was slapped in the face with an electric hand. Her wolf backed down, suddenly so silent. "Kane.", she whispered. She bent her head. "He was great." She looked up at me with determination. "Let's go, I'm coming with you.", she said. "We're going to the leader of the rogues."
We ran ahead, dodging trees until a scent of blood and dirt filled my nose. "Over here.", Cass said loudly. We walked into a clearing where a few teenage boys were huddling around a tent. They looked up at us. Then at me, and they grinned evilly.
"Do you want to die?", one asked me.
"No, but I wish to speak with our leader.", I declared, my legs wide apart with determination. All of the young wolves howled with laughter.
"Like he'd spare you.", another one spat.
"I think Kane would."
Their howls came to an abrupt stop. "What?", a young rogue breathed incredulously. "She speaks his name!"
"Take me to him.", I ordered, moving closer. "Take me to him. Now."
"We cannot!", the oldest rogue shouted. "It could be a trick."
"And I dare send myself?! I could've sent someone in my place!"
"Well, for the master's sake, we can't take you!"
"I don't care, your master would want me to see-"
"ENOUGH!!!", a loud and thunderous voice echoed. "Let me see the girl. Maybe we can kill her and get her over with." A cherry red colored wolf with smoldering electric eyes came out of no where. It was him.
"You!", I cried.
"Don't speak to me unless I ask you a question.", Kane snapped. "State your name!"
"Elizabeth Laney Moore, your best friend from years ago, don't you remember?!", I cried out. Kane was silent. "And this is Cassidy!" Kane was silent. He was like a frozen statue of a wolf. "Eliza? Cass?", he asked quietly. "Eliza! Why have you gone against me! You've mated with the enemy and are about to have his pups."
"He is my mate.", I said. "Please, Kane, don't rid of my pups. Join us again!"
"I can't, I'm sorry.", Kane said softly. "But I can make an exception for you and your pups. I will move my rogue pack farther away, you may never see me again. Now be gone."
Tears stung my eyes. "Fine.", I whispered. I turned away, running through the woods like a wolf in fire. I believe that Cass was running after me. What a great friend. Unlike Kane...
We reached the pack house in just a matter if seconds, feeling battered down and hopeless. True, we took care of pack matters, but still. I guess Kane was meant to lead the pack of rogues. He was meant to be against all packs. He is most wanted, most hated. Does he really want that?

Yay! Pack problems are gone, an the story is almost done. But there WILL be a sequel. Don't worry! :D
