Chapter 11

Lucy's POV

"You done good out there Gray, I'm glad" I smiled a hand on my chest that was holding the necklace he gave me.
"Did you ever doubt me? Of course I won, after all I had your advice" Gray grinned before he bent down and kissed my cheek making me blush a little.
"No fair Gray, why do you get to kiss Lucy?" Natsu glared.
"If anyone should kiss her it should be me since we are both women" Erza said with a pout. They were all silenced when Midnight walked forward and kissed me straight on the lips. If I was blushing before I must look like a tomato right now, I didn't think he would just kiss me like that.
"That's it" Natsu growled before leaning down and also kissing me.
"Please allow me to kiss you as well" Erza said before kissing me.
"Oi you guys knock it off, you're going to make her pass out" Gray protested as he saw how red I had gotten. My brain felt fuzzy and I wasn't sure what exactly I should be thinking or feeling right now. Not only had my first kiss been stolen by Midnight but it had been followed by a kiss from Natsu and Erza, and Gray had also kissed my cheek. But what about Jellal and Juvia, had they seen that? If they didn't then Juvia was sure to kill me and Jellal. A shiver went down my back, I wasn't sure what Jellal would do but it was sure to be painful.
"You guys knock it off, it's not fair if you get to kiss Lucy and we can't" Gajeel growled while I could see Cobra pouting from over with the rest of the fairy tail members.
"He's right, we should be focused on the games, they aren't over yet" I said, turning my attention to the announcers.

"Coming up next is the battle contest, one member of each team will participate in a match but this isn't a tournament set up" Chapati Lola said, I was glad that no one had seen those kisses.
"It's the tournament organisers that decide who's going to be duking it out isn't it?" Jenny smiled.
"I'm sure they will set up some spectacular displays of skills," Yajima said.
"I've just received the line up so we'll find out how spectacular those will be. Our very first match of this year's Grand Magic Games will test the abilities of Raven Tails crimson intensity Flare Corona against Fairy Tail team A's very own Mistress of Destruction, Lucy Heartfielia" Chapati Lola announced and I stood up. It seems my turn to fight came before I could even realise it.
"Show them hell Luce" Natsu grinned putting his hand up and I high fived him.
"I will let you nap on my carpet once you beat her" Midnight offered, it was a pretty big thing since he never let anyone touch his carpet.
"Once you win, let's have some cake to celebrate" Erza smiled.
"Good luck and watch out, those Raven Tail members are up to no good" Gray warned and I nodded. I know how Raven Tail works, they weren't against cheating to win but I would like to see them cheat against me.
"Oi Lucy" I heard yelled and I turned to Cobra.
"Beat this chick and I'll give you a great reward" The poison mage yelled with a lecherous smirk making me break into a blush and Angel hit Cobra in the stomach.

Arriving in the arena I looked across to see my opponent. Flare Corona, she had long red hair to her feet that she could manipulate and even make it seem like fire. Unfortunately for everyone in this competition I had an advantage over them before we even started. Ever since these games had begun, I had taken time to study every single person's magic from every guild that ever competed in the games. Even if this was Raven Tails first year, since they had messed with me in the past I had studied them as well.
"You're going down blondie, maybe if you beg for mercy I may be nice enough to avoid your face" Flare taunted.
"The more taunts a person spews out of their mouths, the more worried they are about winning" I replied, I was going to rise to her taunts.
"Tch, I'm going to make you regret that" Flare glared.
"Remember you have thirty minutes, if you are both standing after that it's a tie, no death hits will be permitted" Chapati Lola reminded.
"With that, let the match begin" Mato cheered.

Flare's hair was instantly on the move straight towards me but I quickly jumped back. For now I would continue to dodge and wait until I knew her attack pattern or she left an opening I could use. Hearing the cheering of the crowds made me remember that the most important thing was to keep the crowd entertained. With that in mind I grabbed Taurus's key and summoned the pervy bull.
"Hey Lucy nice mooves" Taurus called as I dodged once again.
"Yeah, yeah. I don't have a battle plan so we are still at stage one, try to get close to her and use any openings she has" I said and he nodded before heading towards Flare with his axe. This made Flare turn her attention to the bull spirit leaving me time to watch the fight. Finally I had enough data on her to finish her so I sent Taurus back.
"Hey blondie, you might want to take a look over there" Flare cooed tilting her head towards were Fairy Tail was in the stands. Following her thoughts I saw a piece of wiggling hair near Asuka. This horrible mage, she would dare to try to hurt an innocent in front of me. My head was down with my fringe covering my eyes.
"Aww, what's wrong blondie? Lose the will to fight?" She taunted.
".....tic" I whispered.
"What was that?" Flare asked.
"I was, you're pathetic" I snarled as my magic instantly doubled making Flare back up a little.
"If you try anything, I'll-" Flare started.
"Mission complete baby" a voice interrupted and I grinned seeing Cancer had cut the piece of hair that was in the ground.
"You dare to threaten the innocent in front of me. I was going to take it easy on you but now, I'll make you pay" I growled as I put my two arms out and my whole body started to glow gold. I was going to use, urano metria so I needed to gather a look of magic. As soon as I gathered the magic I began to chant and I saw Flare fall on her backside in terror. In an instant the magic that I had gathered was gone. Something or someone had gotten rid of it. My body wanted to collapse but I bit down on my tongue hard enough to draw blood and watch towards the red headed mage. Even with no magic I was still strong enough to win.
"N-no stay away" Flare screamed as she got up. Moving quickly I sunk my fist into Flare's stomach.
"Take a message to your dirtbag master, mess with fairy tail and I will end you" I snarled in her ear before she passed out.

The whole arena was silent but then everyone burst into cheers and whistles.
"I'm not sure exactly what happen folks but Lucy Heartfielia takes the win for Fairy tail team A" Chapati Lola announced. Looking towards the judges panel I saw Yajima's murderous glare. Seems he figured out what was wrong.
"Looks like you didn't let us or yourself down blondie. Now how about I give you that reward" Cobra smirked since he was waiting where I exited the arena. Without speaking I walked to Cobra and rested my head on his shoulder.
"Blondie?" Cobra questioned but I didn't reply. The magic drain was finally getting to me.
"LUCY?!" I heard Cobra yell before my legs gave out and everything went black.

Groaning I tried to open my eyes but they wouldn't open, why wouldn't they open?
"Calm yourself, my old friend" A familiar voice echoed all around me.
"Celestial Spirit King, is that you?" I asked as I realised that my eyes were open. I seemed to be in complete darkness, that's why I couldn't see anything.
"It is me, old friend, I have come to warn you. Something is happening in your world that will upset the balance of magic itself. If the celestial keys are used to mess with the flow of time then the world will be thrown into Chaos. You must not allow this to happen," Celestial King warned.
"So it is going to come true, what my future self told me a few years ago?" I questioned.
"Yes, the gate will open and a plague of dragons will be set free upon the land. you must stop this Lucy Heartfielia, because if you don't then even the stars will be corrupted" He continued.
"Don't worry Celestial King, I'm not about to hand my keys over to some trying to do the wrong thing with them and even if somehow the gate opens I have a back up plan. And don't you worry about the spirits either, I'm not going to allow any of you to be corrupted" I promised and I knew he was smiling.
"Yes, I know that you will not let me down" He said before everything turned bright. I was waking up properly this time.

"Lucy, can you hear me?" Cobra's voice asked.
"Oi healer why isn't she answering me?" He demanded.
"Stupid human, you have to give her time to wake up, magic deficiency isn't something that just goes away" I heard Polyschia huff.
"I'm....fine" I croaked my eyes only just open and my throat was sore.
"Lucy, thank magic you're okay," Cobra whispered before he sat on the chair next to the bed and buried his head in my stomach.
"What happened?" I asked while Polyshica handed me a glass of water and shooed Cobra away a bit so she could do a check.
"You tell us, I was congratulating you and then you just collapsed" Cobra said. I had been fighting Flare and then.
"My magic got erased when I was trying to do urano metria. I managed to stay standing enough to knock Flare out and win the match but I don't remember much else" I said as I sat up.
"That would explain why you passed out, a high level spell like that and then getting your magic erased took a toll on you but you'll recover" Polyschia said before heading to check Wendy who was sleeping at the moment.
"Thank magic you're okay. I thought the worst when you came to me and then passed out" Cobra whispered as he hugged me, basically sitting on my lap. I was glad that there was a curtain between my bed and Wendy's bed.
"I am fine but worry it will take more than that to take me down. Rest assured though Raven Tail will pay for what they did," I growled, just remembering them cheating had my blood boiling. Before I could think anymore on the matter Cobra lent forward and kissed me.
"Don't focus on them when I'm in front of you" Cobra pouted and I chuckled before hugging him and stroking his head. How cute, who would have thought that the great poison dragon slayer would get jealous. Speaking of poisons.
"Where is Cubelios?" I questioned, since I reunited the two they barely left each other's side.
"I sent her to deliver a message to Master and the others, you were only out for two hours" Cobra informed me. I really wanted to know how the rest of the matches turned out but for now I decided I would just rest. After all, I was sure that fairy tail would want to have a party tonight and I didn't want to bring their moods down. With that in mind I grabbed Cobra and pulled him down so my head was on his chest and started to go to sleep. It helped even more when Cobra ran his hands through the told part of my hair. For now I would put aside the Celestial king's warnings and the Grand Magic Games and rest since I had earned it.
