Chapter 21

Lucy's POV

After leaving Lahar and Dorenbolt to figure things out with Sabertooth I hurried along the streets towards the honeybone inn. At least that was the plan until a pair of hands shot out and grabbed me pulling me into an alleyway. Looking back I sighed realising it was Jelllal, Meredy and Ultear.
"Jeez Jellal I could have seriously hurt you" I said with a glare.
"Sorry but we need to talk, I managed to get in contact with our source of information" He said and I stopped.
"And? What did they say?" I questioned.
"Nothing has changed, the gate still changed the world and they couldn't stop it. It seems that fate has been set in stone, no matter what we try and do we can't prevent it" Ultear sighed.
"It's still going to be fine though, right? I mean we have plans in place" Meredy said.
"None of those plans are big enough to stop this" Jellal said, stopping her optimism.
"Maybe your plans aren't but I have a plan in mind as well so it won't matter if everything continues the way it is. I will not let this world fall into chaos nor will I allow anyone to suffer. All we can do is be ready, they are going to be after my keys" I said.
"You're not going to share this plan are you?" Ultear questioned.
"No, there is a chance it might not work if anyone finds out so for now I will keep it closely guarded but I will need your help with something" I said before handing them a scroll of paper.
"If I am put in prison or if there are some who get my keys I want you to read this as well as show it to Lahar and Dorenbolt, they will be able to help" I instructed them.
"Lucy, I'm not going to let anything happen to you," Jellal said, grabbing my hands and a tiny smile appeared on my face.
"I know you won't but if the information that we have is true then we won't be able to prevent it. I should head back to the inn so that I can start preparing" I said. It was going to be a late night but if it meant putting everything in place to protect everyone, so be it.
"We'll meet you back at the inn and also explain about what happened with Sabertooth, Jellal has something he wants to talk to you about," Meredy giggled before she and Ultear left with smug looks on their faces. Turning to face Jellal I saw him reach out and pull my face up before kissing me. My eyes widened, I mean we had kissed before but this was different. I couldn't stop the moan that came from me as his tongue swirled with mine. Pulling back I let out a gasp as his head nuzzled into my shoulder and I felt him start to suck there to leave a mark.
"J-Jellal" I stuttered out, my legs starting to go weak. After he was sure that there was a mark left near where my neck met my shoulder he pulled back. His eyes were filled with desire and I felt a shiver go down my spine.
"I apologise Lucy, I lost my head for a moment there. I should have asked permission before I did something like that" Jellal apologised with a blush colouring his cheeks.
"It's fine, I mean I enjoyed it" I burbled out probably just as red as he was.
"We should head back to the inn, I mean I enjoy our time together but we should be celebrating since we are still in the lead for the games" Jellal said and I nodded.
"I'm still not sure why you guys would want to be with someone like me but I enjoy our time together as well" I smiled before I kissed his cheek.

With that we headed back to the honeybone inn and just like we thought the guild was in full party mode.
"Luce," Natsu beamed and everyone turned to see me before perking up and calling out greetings. I returned the greetings before sitting down next to Natsu. It didn't take long for Midnight to lay down his head on my lap, Cubelios wrapped around my shoulders tangling with my hair and Angel cuddled into my other side while discussing different outfits that she wanted to try wearing.
"Are you going to explain why you left so fast? Ultear and Meredy said something about Sabertooth" Laxus said  as he sat in front of me next to Erza and Natsu.
"Sabertooths master Jiemma, has been arrested by the Rune Knights for abuse and attempted murder. I knew that Sting and Rogue losing was not going to go over well but it was worse then I thought. Jiemma attempted to kill Lector but I had taken Dorenbolt Lahar with me so nothing happened" I explained.
"He did what?" Natsu yelled with a glare on his face.
"He will be going away for quite a while so don't worry about it" I said but I frowned as well. I had tried to get Jiemma to see that what he was doing was wrong but he wouldn't listen to reason. For seven years ever since I realised what was going on I had tried to reason with him, to tell him that there were other ways to have a strong guild but he wouldn't listen. I also didn't have enough proof to put an end to the torture that he put his guild members through.
"Lulu" I heard making me turn to Cobra who was frowning.
"Come with me" Cobra said and with a nod I moved Midnight, Cubelios and Angel to walk to the side of the room with Cobra.
