Chapter 27

It wasn't long before I managed to get myself under control and all that was left to do was get dressed and ready for the celebration.
"Are you sure you don't need my help?" Midnight asked.
"Yes I'm sure, I am going to summon Virgo and Cancer to help me out. Before you ask I have enough magic to summon them" I said and Midnight nodded.
"In that case I am going to go and get ready" Midnight said as he kissed my forehead before leaving. Once he was out of the room I summoned Virgo and Cancer.
"Lucy-hime, punishment?" Virgo asked.
"No Virgo no punishment, maybe later" I said.
"In that case shall I get a bath ready for you?" Virgo questioned.
"Yes, also do you mind choosing a formal outfit with accessories. Cancer I'm glad that you're alright after fighting one of the dragons. Are the others okay?" I enquired, worriedly.
"Just fine baby, you know that we are strong in our full animal forms" Cancer grinned and I smiled. I had worried about them all through the battle and I was glad that they were alright.
"Now I'm going to pick out some hair accessories for you baby" Cancer grinned and I nodded.
"Princess, your bath is ready" Virgo called out and I got up and headed into the bathroom. Virgo helped me undress since even though Wendy and Polyschia had used their magic I still had the wounds but they weren't as bad. Virgo was nice enough to help wash my hair since there was so much of it and then when I was out and dried she helped me wrap my wounds in bandages.
"Now then, it's my turn" Cancer said as I walked out fully dressed and sat in a chair.
"Work your magic" I smiled and he grinned at me. Grabbing a brush, blow dryer and many other items Cancer got to work.

"You look lovely Princess" Virgo complimented and I looked at the mirror in awe. I couldn't believe the person looking back was actually me.
"Sometimes I even surprise myself, though it is most definitely because of your own beauty, baby" Cancer said.
"Well I can't keep them all waiting" I said as I got up from the chair.
"They are not going to let you go tonight" Virgo smirked before she left and I blushed bright red. Cancer also left and I headed to the door, glad that I was already in the palace so I didn't have to worry about walking too much.
"Hey Lucy, care for an escort.....Wow" Loke said as he appeared at my side looking at me stunned.
"You look....I mean you look" Loke tried to get out with a deep blush on his face.
"I'm flattered that after all this time I can still make you speechless" I said.
"You can always make me speechless, all you have to do is look at me and smile" Loke flattered before grabbing me around the waist and pulling me close. With a smile I hugged him back and he gently kissed me before pulling back.
"Now then, you wanted to escort me?" I asked and he nodded, putting his arms out. Loke was wearing his normal suit but had taken off his suit jacket and was wearing a black vest and his hair was now longer so he looked quite dashing. Soon enough we were at the door to the ballroom and the guards gapped before they opened the door. Inside we could hear music and chatter that stopped as soon as they saw us. I didn't blame them, I don't mean to compliment myself or be self absorbed but I looked really good. I was wearing a black strapless floor length dress that was tight around the top and flowed to the ground from my waist that was puffed out. Each layer of the skirt had gold around the edges with silver sparkles and there were multiple layers, the top of the dress had golden swirls that added to the beauty. My hair was put up in a half plait bun with the rest flowing down my back and my fringe framing my face. In the plaited bun was different silver, bronze and gold that were all different because each one had the sign of one of my spirits on them. I had a platinum necklace with Ladon's symbol on it and I had matching earrings. Although you couldn't see them I was wearing a pair of strappy black heels. For makeup I had a light dusting of golden and silver eyeshadow, mascar, eye-liner, some light blush and finally some lip gloss instead of lipstick.
"They can't keep their eyes off you" Loke whispered and I shook my head.
"Stop puffing up your chest and let's go" I chuckled as we walked down to join the rest of Fairy tail.

"Lucy my child, I am glad you are feeling better and I must say you look wonderful" Makarov said.
"Thank you Master, I am just glad that everyone is okay" I said looking at them all. Most of them were covered in bandages but all of them were still alive and breathing.
"We're just glad that you're alright as well. When you collapsed on us I thought that we were going to lose you" Lisanna said as she hugged me gently.
"I'm sorry for worrying all of you" I apologised and I suddenly felt Natsu's arms around me.
"Don't do that again. Ever" Natsu said and I shook my head.
"I would like to promise you that but I can't, I can't promise not to do that because if it means protecting my friends and family I won't hesitate to do it again" I warned. I saw them look at me before shaking their heads.
"We know," Erza said.
"It wouldn't be you if you promised us that," Cobra said, putting his arm around my waist.
"Even if you don't promise us that, we are still going to tell you not to do that ever again" Laxus said.
"You're our friend and family as well so we are always going to worry" Gajeel butted in. I couldn't help but laugh and shake my head as everyone clammered to talk to me while also reassuring me they were okay and proving they were okay.
"Can I have your attention?" A voice called and we turned to see a gathering on the balcony and the music stopped. Seems the King along with the Princess were going to make an announcement.
"Thank you everyone for coming here tonight. We are not only celebrating the defeat of the dragons but we are also celebrating Fairy tails victory in the Grand Magic Games. I would like to thank you all again for helping us once again. Now before I start this celebration I have one more thing to do. I want to give special thanks to Lucy Heartfielia, not only did she save us, she saved the world and for that not only will I be eternally grateful but I am also giving her a metal of the highest offer" The King announced and I was shocked as a spot light shined on me.
"I would also like to give my sincerest apology to you, Lucy. You warned me countless times and yet I didn't listen, because of my foolishness I could have doomed the whole world" Hisui apologised while her head was bowed.
"You don't need to apologise, just next time maybe listen when someone is telling you something. Also don't meddle with things you don't know about" I said and she nodded.
"With that I will finish our speeches and I hope you enjoy the night" The King said and the music started again.

I stood at the side with a drink as I watched everyone in the party. Lisanna, Yukino who had returned to Sabertooth, Angel and Mira were talking together while giggling. Erza was talking to Millianna and Kagura along with Jellal, Ultear and Meredy who seemed to be explaining everything to them. Racer, Richard, Jura and Ichiya were talking to each other about something. Cobra, Gajeel, Natsu, Laxus, Rogue and Sting were together and it seems Rogue and Sting were giving drinks to Natsu and Gajeel. Midnight was standing near by to the dragon slayers, leaning on the wall as he was sleeping. Wendy and Celia had hit it off and were hitting the sweets with Master Mavis near them. Patherlily, Lector, Frosch, Happy and Carla were all together and getting along. Gray was with Lyon and they seemed to be either bonding or about to fight but I wasn't sure which one.
"Princess" Loke called me and I turned to him to see him bow slightly with his hand raised to me.
"Would you care to dance?" He asked and I smiled.
"I think I would enjoy that good sir" I smiled as I sat my drink down and took his hand. With having a good grip on me Loke twirled me onto the dance floor making me giggle.
"Sorry to cut in" Gray grinned a few minutes later as Gray grabbed me into his own arms.
"Don't mind if I do," Cobra said as he cut in a few minutes later. Next was Midnight, then Jellal and finally Erza before I called a time out. I needed a drink and to get some food before I got dizzy and fell over.
"Lucy-san, I thought that you could use this," Rogue said as he handed me a plate of food while Sting appeared with a new drink.
"You didn't put anything in this did you?" I teased and they looked at me with wide eyes and I couldn't help but laugh.
"Sorry, sorry. I couldn't help but tease you guys, I trust you so thank you for this" I smiled and I took a sip of my drink before grabbing one of the sweets.
"Lucy-san I..." Rogue started but stopped himself and looked down at the ground.
"You don't need to apologise for what your Future self has done. I knew that it was coming for seven years so I was prepared. There isn't your fault, you aren't him" I said.
"May I ask why you didn't tell us about it?" Sting asked.
"Not only were you not in the right place having to put up with Jiemma and it was also best not to tell everyone" I explained.
"I understand," Rogue said.
"In that case how about a dance for us as well?" Sting offered his hand and I laughed.
"How about after I finish this and then I'll go back to dancing" I said and they nodded before they left to socialise. I found a seat and I sat down eating my food and finishing my drink.

After finishing I made sure to put the drink and plates with the rest of the dirty dishes before I felt arms around me and I tensed before looking to see that it was just Laxus.
"Seems everyone has gotten a dance but me" Laxus said.
"Not quite everyone but I promised I would dance with Sting and Rogue so how about you do me a favour and I will do a full dance with you, no interruptions" I smiled and he looked at me.
"What favour?" Laxus asked, his eyes narrowed.
"Dance with Freed. He has been watching you all night and keeping the other women away so give me a bit of a reward. He has been watching all of us dance and I can tell he really wants to dance but you know him. He is too shy to actually ask anyone and no one is asking him" I pointed out.
"Okay fine but only because Freed is like my brother and you are going to owe me after this" Laxus said as he walked over to Freed and I smiled as Freed's face lit up as they started to dance.
"Now then to find Rogue and Sting" I said before looking for the two dragon slayers. That is how the rest of the night went. I danced with Rogue and Sting before giving Laxus his promised dance before moving on to Freed. Dance after dance with not just Fairy tail members but members from all the guilds, only taking a break when I needed to get a drink. By the time the night was over I was tipsy. Okay it was a lot more than tipsy. After eight drinking competitions, eighty barrels of wine and other various drinks, it was lucky that everyone managed to make it back to their inns for the night but somehow we managed it.

Waking up the next morning I groaned at the pounding in my head before blinking my eyes open. I was back in the honey bone inn which was good and looking around the room I realised that we must have pushed the five beds together so it was like one very large bed. Looking I saw Erza, Jellal, Cobra, Midnight, Laxus, Natsu, Gray and Loke all across the bed. I don't know how we managed it but it seemed like we had all formed this giant cuddle pile. Sitting up I groaned and stretched before I stopped and felt like cold water had been thrown over me. Looking down just to make sure, my eye went wide. I wasn't wearing anything so I did what anyone else would do. I pulled the blanket around me and screamed.
