(Rouge's POV)
I stood in the hallways that day.
It felt different.
And not like something smelt off but, the air was thinner.
Colder.
Something was not right, and I knew it.
After a long talk with my own thoughts I went over to Omega's charging station and tapped his power button on.
"You charged enough to talk?" I ask.
"AFFIRMATIVE" he states loudly.
"Keep it down.." I ask calmly.
His robotic arm reaches out for mine.
"ARE YOU MALFUNCTIONING?" He asks on a quieter volume.
"No no, I'm thinking something is not right..." I state.
Omega's head rotates towards me.
"First of all the commander has cut off all access to his secret project in the back of the building for designated people, including myself..."
"THE HUMAN PROJECT?" Omega asks.
I freeze.
"You know about it Omega?"
"THE HUMAN PROJECT?" He asks again.
I nod.
"Did they program the information into your chip??" I ask cautiously searching his hardware.
When I cant find anything wired to what we are talking about I sigh.
"Let's take you back to the-"
"Something the matter, Agent Rouge?" A dark voice behind me asks.
I almost screech on the top of my lungs as I look over to see the commander.
He clears his throat and smiles.
"My bad for scaring you Agent Rouge." He says.
I look up at him.
He's never apologized to me before...
Let alone care about anyone but himself...
"That's- uhm, alright sir.." I ask looking him directly in the eyes trying to act as professional as I could be.
He nods and looks down at me.
I notice his eyes are different from before.
Colder.
Colder...
COLDER...
"Agent Rouge, please answer my question.." the commander asks.
My ears flinch up and my eyes do the same.
