Chapter Sixteen- Shattered Everything

(Shadows POV)
"Why.. Why would you do that.. to the number one person who cares about you.." I say a bit shocked.

I mean I knew that he would break up with Rose but... Cheating on her? This Isn't Sonic and I need to stop this..

" Shadow you know nothing!" Sonic yells at me with Sally looking shameful.

Is he seriously playing this game.

" I'm going to tear you apart if you don't shut the hell up." I say in a stern tone.

Sonic glares at me.

" I'm going to tell you something Sonic.." I say walking up to Sonic.

He gets a bit hasty and goes into a protective pose and strikes a fist at me. I catch his fist.

" I was thinking of beating you until I knew that you couldn't get up.. but I don't think that will look good on your.. title.." I say.

Sonic looks at me confused and shocked.

" Also, after Rose would calm down and figure out that I would beaten you to death.. she would probably end our friendship because she cares about you.."

Sonic just looks at me blankly. Sally's ran off, probably scared of me.

That's when Sonic did something I didn't expect.

" Your right.. I was wrong." He said.

" What?!"

" But I think everything I'm doing to get rid of you.. is WRONG TOO.." he says smirking.

He then uppercuts me and I get thrown at a building.. very far away. I crash into a building and fall to the ground.

I see Rose around the corner and she looks at me scared with tearful eyes.

" Rose! Get out here!! Sonics Lost his-"

I dodge Sonics incoming Spindash.

" -MIND" I finish.

I look back at her.

" GO!" I yell.

I hear a bunch of footsteps.

" Sonic! Don't ruin your life just to beat me!!" I yell over the crowd of people watching.

This is bad. Fightings going to draw attention to the cops and if there are other Kings.. them too.

" Does it look like I care Shadow?! I have all the power In the world! And now that I have it... I can finally prove that I am the Hero.. and that your the VILLAN.." He says charging a blast of some shadowy purple Magic.

I.. don't know what to do. I need to get him to stop fighting me..

" Sonic! I don't want to fight you! THIS IS ALL WRONG!" I yell louder.

That's when I notice the Principal of our school in the crowd... he may be judging our powers.. This is not the time to fight though. He's acting like a child over this.

But so am I.

I hear the crowd yell " Our hero's been brainwashed! Save him!" Or " Whats Shadow doing?! Is he beating Sonic up?" This world doesn't see me as a Hero but I don't think that will ever change no matter what I do.

" Sonic! Stop this! PLEASE!" I yell once more.

" Oh look you said please. Maybe I will." He says throwing the ball of energy at the ground starting an earthquake.

I quickly make a forcefield of Chaos energy around everyone and myself to keep us all safe.

" Oh look. Your playing hero again. Just quit like you Always do Shadow"

What is he talking about..

I can feel my Chaos Energy deplete the more I hold this barrier. I can't do this forever...

" Fine. I'll play your game Hedgehog.."

The ground keeps crumbling and the screams get louder.

" Rose! Get as many Civilians to safety!" I say holding up the barrier.

That's when Silver runs up to me.

" Shadow?! What's going on?" He yells.

" Sonic.. hes lost his mind.. and he caused a earthquake or something.. but I can't keep this thing up forever!! Can you do something?!!!" I yell.

"Yeah! Sonic! Over here!!"

Sonic looks over at Silver.

" EAT THIS!!" He says throws a blast of telekinesis at him.

Sonics dodges the blast and it hits a building behind him, the building staggers and begins to topple over.

" SILVER!" I yell.

I see Silvers face scream in terror as he begins using telekinesis against it holding it up barely.

"Well you two just made my life easier." He says." You both can't fight me now.. Isn't that nice"

Silver weakly blasts him in the head and Sonics flinches and glares at Silver.

" Dont make.. him more mad Silver!" I yell.

Rose comes up behind me.

" You can put the barrier down, everyone's alright!" She says and I put the Barrier down catching my breathe.

Sonics gives me a disgusted look as Silver successfully has fixed the building from falling.

" Now it's 3 against 1 Sonic" Rose says glaring.

" Well I'm about to make it Myself verses No one.." He says charging a blast and firing it right at us.

I make another barrier protecting us three, but my Chaos energy is already almost depleted.. and Shadow magic is my weakness...I'm not going to win.. he's won.

"Shadow! You can't keep using your magic! You lose any energy you have left!" Silver says putting his hand on my shoulder.

" I know.." I say pushing harder as the barrier begins to crack.

But Sonic is stronger then me..

The barrier falls as my energy depletes and the blast hits me directly.

I see the look on Silver and Roses face as I get hit.

My Inhibitor Rings Shatter into thousands of pieces and my Necklace shatters as well destroying the power inside the Crystal leaving me completely powerless.

I crash into the building behind me and Silver comes running toward me as I still have consciousness.

Rose looks over at Sonic in tears.

" Looks like my job here is done" he says as he picks up the shattered pieces of my necklace.

Sonic disappears in a instant.

Silver and Rose make sure I'm alright and continue shaking me but the worlds blurry to me.. I really can't concertante on them much.

I was too weak to stop him..

where did he even get that power.. and why did he use it for the wrong purposes. Sonic would have never agreed to this. What drew him to do so..

That's the last thing I remember thinking before my world went blank.
