A Shadow of a Rose

Chapter Three- Friend or Foe

A flashing green light appears next to me.

After my eyesight adjusted I realized who was standing in front me... it was Shadow.

He looks at me with a weird look.

" Rose? What are you doing on the floor. Class starts in 5 minutes. Also.. what happened?" He asks, trying not to stare.

I look at him with a glare.

" Oh would you look who it is.. when did you start caring about me..?" I mumble.

Shadow gives me a slight Glare, with a mixed expression.

" I mean I could just leave you here.. with a torn dress...and in the cold..." he mumbles to himself, Just loud enough for me to hear.

"But your lucky I have some heart." Shadow says, he walking over and kneeling down next to me.

"Take this."

He takes off his G.U.N uniform jacket and puts it around me.

" I don't necessarily need that jacket. Cover yourself up for now. It should cover you up until you can get a new uniform on." He says, adjusting it to fit my needs.

I look at the jacket. Its really nice and has a bunch of military badges.

"Why are you wearing a jacket like this to school? Isn't this expensive.. and government property?" I ask.

Shadow looks at me.

"Your going to be late, What's your first Class." He asks me.

Of corse he changed the subject... this is "Shadow the hedgehog".!

I sigh and pull out the schedule from my bag.

"Uhm.. It's Cooking.." I tell Him.

Shadow looks at it for a minute and then he out of nowhere sighs.

"What? Do you have a problem..?" I say offended.

Shadow looks at me.

" My first class is cooking too... thats all..." he Mumbles.

Oh great, I'm gunna he stuck with him even longer..what else could go wrong!

Shadow begins to walk forward and asks me to join him. I agree and He grabs on to my shoulder as he uses Chaos control to teleport us to class.

When we get there There's a bunch of random people, but I can spot Blaze and Silver out of the crowd. Blaze waves over at her single table as Silver walks up to Shadow.

I walk over to Blaze and we start Chatting.

"It's been a couple weeks since I've seen you! I didn't expect us to have first period together!" She smiles.

I smile back.

" I know right? How's you and Silver going?" I ask.

Blaze blushes. " oh you know.. just me not having enough courage to ask the idiot out is all.. " she laughs and covers her face embarrassed.

I grin and side hug her.

" Oh Blaze don't worry..!! Me and Sonic are still Not together yet!" I say.

She looks at me for a moment and then looks away, then returns her glance.

" Oh.. your still waiting for Sonic to go out with you? I thought you were with Shadow.. since well your wearing his jacket and you came in with him..." she says.

I Pause and begin blushing a lot.

" I am NOT dating that man!!" I yell.

A bunch of Classmates including Silver and Shadow look at me. After a few seconds of Silence they return to talking.

Blaze begins. " wow.. I- uhm..".

I Side Hug Blaze again.

"Sorry I shouldn't have yelled.. But no! I'm not Dating Shadow! Never have, Never will!" I exclaim.

Blaze gives me a "uh huh" look.

" I'm just saying that maybe It's time to look past Sonic..." Blaze says.

I sigh and put my head on the table.

" I mean I have been chasing him around for years.. maybe I am a Brat.."

I look a little down remembering the fight from earlier.

" Awh Amy.. your not a Brat.. don't think that way! You helped me and you've helped so many people!" She says with pride. "Don't bring yourself down like that."

I look up at her. " I never realized you got so tall.. heh" I smile.

" Of course you changed the subject, what was I expecting!" Blaze laughs as she tells me.

I look over at Shadow and Silver. That's when I Notice Something around Shadows neck.

It's a necklace.. but whatever was at the end of the string.. was glowing.. and it didn't look natural to me...
