On a sit down interview with Forbes Women, Leialoha Aurora kala Park or better known as Kala talked about her inspiration behind her decision to start a business and an organization alongside with tackling about how she is able to do all her jobs at once.
Kala appeared as a guest speaker at a business convention in New York to share her inspiration and reason behind becoming a business woman at a young age of 14. Earlier this year, Kala park was hailed with "The most influential teen of 2021 " award and earned respect in the business world for her compassion to make a change in our wavering society.
In her interview, kala shared her reason for starting her business venture in the cafe industry and her organization. " The main reason why I decided to start my cafe business is not only for my love of baking but because of my grandmama. Ever since I was 3,my life became so busy with sports and now with being in the music industry, I rarely get to spend time with her so when she passed away, I decided to fulfill the promise I made to her. I have always been interested with business ever since and she is my main drive for me to actually act on it. We both have talked about it and found a common idea between us and that is to have business that accepts anyone regarding of our differences. We wanted to make a workspace that is adaptable by people of all bckgrounds and well being. Helping others and the desire to change how others think and treats others who are different made me start my business and organization"
Further down the interview, she also gave a piece of advice that she have learned when she started her business
"I believe that if I'm only going to sit here and wish that things will change then I shouldn't expect that the change I want will happen at all. Remember, If you want change or want something to happen, It should start with you because you are the instrument that will make it happen. Be brave and headstrong about what you really want because if you're just going to let your fear and insecurity consume you, nothing will happen to you. You're just going to waste the time that is laid in front of you. Always take the initiative to do the first step"
" I don't know who needs to hear this but I would like to share the best advice my mom gave me: Be scared and do it. Fear will always be there and as humans, it's a part of our emotions to be fearful. So what you can do is to do it while you're scared—who cares if you messed up? Who cares if you feel like it won't work? The most important thing is....atleast you tried. And you'll never know.....you'll never know if it will succeed or it will happen UNLESS you go and try it out. So don't waste your time and do it."
At the age of 3 years old, she started her journey in the sports industry as a gymnast and eventually becoming—not only a professional gymnast but also a professional figure skater. She then entered the music world as a dancer then turned into a performance director and artist years later. Although she is a very busy child growing up, she knows what to priotritize and that is her role as a daughter, a sister, a friend to her family and close friends. She is very vocal about the importance of her family and keeping a healthy & supportive relationship with her loved ones and how it became a great help to her in the past years.
If you haven't heard of Park kala then maybe you've been spending too much in your bed staring at the ceiling all day. She is the holder of multiple "youngest" titles that exists. Her well known title would be 'youngest performance director in the music world' , 'Nation's sweet warrior' , 'Asia's Shooting star' , 'youngest Grammy award winner' , 'youngest MC in the awards and music show history' , and lastly, The Gifted Gem.
Park Kala's rise to fame isn't a fast one or what you might call as a sudden blowout of fame but instead, her fame rises slowly as time passes by. Slow-burn success in another words. She has risen to become an international stardom for being able to juggle school, family, music work and athlete work daily. She was looked up by multiple well known stars for her hard working yet down to earth attitude and for her major influence to adolescents and children.
She became a role model not only for younger generations--older generations included! Litterally every individual who have met her and was able to talk to her doesn't have anything to say but good things. She knows how to make the room light up and ambiance of the room less heavy. She is applauded by how equal she treats people and how natural she is in talking to anyone regardless of age and nationality. She was rarely hated on by anyone in the industry and fans. They can't find anything to hate her for like seriously even I can't bring myself to hate her at all.
Galaxy consists of hundreds of millions of Kala's supporters from her athletic career and entertainment career who have become a force to be reckoned with on all social media platforms. Kala's YouTube channel has over 80 million followers as of November 2021. Kala's official twitter accounts have over 30 million followers.
Kala's tiktok account have over 240 M followers since November of 2021 just after opening her account last October of 2020. She surpassed the previous most followed account, Charli D'Amelio.
Kala's fans constitutes of a very wide range of ages, background, locations. In recent years, many kpop fans including Galaxy have taken to social activism on social media. That showed the power of K-pop fans such as ARMY, Galaxy and many more. They've flexed their social media in other ways such as drowning out hash tags that aren't that nice.
After the appearance of Park kala, her fans trended multiple hash tags to show love, support and admiration to their beloved artist. Even tv personalities stood up and show their admiration towards Kala and expressed their gratitude for not only sharing about her business and organization but also showing that being an artist doesn't mean that they are not interested in studying or doing jobs like others. Kala was applauded by many for emphasizing that you could do many things and be whoever you want to be as long as you are determined for it to happen and you really want to.
Perhaps, we have our own ideas and opinions regarding ones success but once we start being open and accepting of ones success, our world will slowly become a new and healthy environment to live in. Kala hopes that her interview would somehow help many individuals to start acting on their dreams and build their confidence in doing something that they want to acheive.
