According to an exclusive statement released by Kala during her recent Vlive, she confirmed that a member from Pnation's first boy group, Eunhwi is her cousin while another member from the same group named, Woo Kyungjun is a very close family friend of theirs and had known each other for over 10 years at the present time. Meanwhile, she also revealed that a member from JYP's upcoming boy group, Lee Gyehyun is a distant cousin of hers.
She clarified to the fans that she's not confirming her relations with the three men in question to help them with their fame, but instead to shut the haters and fake news about her allegedly dating one of them. She also ask the fans not to use this confirmation to accuse them of clout because that's not her intention nor was it theirs too.
"Please do not accuse my cousins and friend for clout or ruin their career because they're related to me. If you hate me, do it to me only and don't include them in your growing hate for me—that same goes to my other family members in the industry. I'm in no way shape or form forcing any of you to support them if you don't like to do so"
She also further clarified that she doesn't really want to reveal this yet but with the hate coming to attack her cousins and friend, she just can't stay shut and do nothing. That's the main reason why she decided to do an unplanned vlive all of a sudden. Lastly, She expressed her gratitude to the ones who have protected and showed love to her cousins and friend, and expressed how much she's proud of where they are now.
