Jimin's breath hitched.

No. This couldn't be true. Yoongi could never be his soulmate, right? Not in a million years.

Fate wouldn't be that cruel now, would it?

JM: "Please tell me you're joking."

He slowly let go of Yoongi's chest, and took a few steps back.

He suddenly felt like he was suffocating. Drowning. And a faint wave of guilt and regret hit him.

As he looked up into his hyung's eyes once again, he instantly knew where that wave came from. And it shocked him more than anything else.

Yes, Min Yoongi was his soulmate.

He knew it was true.
He felt it.

So fate really was cruel.

Because there Jimin stood, in front of his long-time crush, realizing that they will never be more than best friends. Fate literally friendzoned him, just when he thought he would actually have a chance with the older.

Jimin couldn't process this information very well. His throat felt like it was on fire and his chest tightened more and more.

He saw Yoongi hanging his head low, as he tried to hide the tears that were now dripping down his cheeks. The older knew Jimin would never accept his apology. He knew Jimin hated him.

But Jimin didn't want his Hyung to cry. He just needed time to think. He needed... He needed to dance.

JM: "Hyung, I'm sorry... I... I need a day or two to process everything, alright? I-"

Y: "No need to explain yourself, Jimin. If I were you, I wouldn't want to be my soulmate either."

Jimin's facial expression changed completely after hearing his hyung's heartbreaking words. So he stepped forward, hugged him real tight and said something Yoongi didn't expect to hear at all.

JM:" Hyung, no. I... I didn't mean it that way! I..."

He took a deep breath.

JM: "I just need to get over my silly crush on you. I promise I'll be the best friend I can be, I just need some time to get over you. Please, just... just give me a couple of days, and I promise we'll be okay."

And with that he backed away, turned around and ran straight to his safety-spot: the dance studio.
