'It smells gross.' I tried to hold my breath as much as I could.
However the smell practically choked the clean air I was trying to breathe in.
Blanche quickly hid herself into my coat as I followed after Nico, who didn't seem to mind the horrid smell.
And even if I wanted to talk to Nico, the sewers prevented any chance of speaking to him.
'Blanche is getting restless the longer we stay here.' But I don't want to bother Nico, I managed to catch a glimpse of how angry he can get.
Even though it was a glimpse, the annoyance in his voice was clear as day.
'I shouldn't anger him anymore.' The last thing I want is Nico's distrust.
Recalling Sylva's words, a small frown tugged on my lips.
'The way Sylva worded Nico's past...it sounded as if he went through everything alone.'

I...was simply lucky that there happened to be someone nearby whenever I was getting too close to danger.
'Nico.' I stared at the boy walking ahead of me. His shoulders were relaxed, letting me know that he's used to being in this kind of area.
