"Hey brat!" A slap to the face woke me up. Finding one of the cruel men staring back at me.
"It's time."
Time for what?
The next thing I knew, he grabbed me from where I was sleeping and dragged me outside.
The sun was bright.
But the place was nothing like the place I once lived with my mother.
It was filled with many people.
Their clothes seemed different. It looked hard to breathe in the clothes they wore.
"Move it brat!" Shoving me towards some kind of towering wooden platform.
I was forced to stand on it.
As the man yelled out words I couldn't understand.
Gypsy.
Slave.
Sell.
These very words stuck to my mind.
Until.
"I'll buy him." My eyes followed the source of the voice.
There standing within the center of the crowd.
Was an elderly man.
Whose clear blue eyes stared right at me.
I stiffened.
Wondering why this unknown man was looking at me.
Words were exchanged.
A heavy bag was handed off to the cruel man and I was soon taken away from him.
And forced to stand face to face with this new strange man.
