"Get ready." Nico muttered to me as he used one hand to move something. It was really hard to see due to lack of light in the sewer, but once Nico removed the item blocking the way...a bright light shined to the point of making me squint.
Keeping my grip on the metal steps tight, I heard Nico's shoes resound against the steps.
Upon hearing the taps, I quickly continued climbing up until I felt something grasp around my right wrist.
Soon I was pulled right up, without a chance to grab onto the handle or the walls within the sewer.
"So slow." My eyes widened in surprise as I found myself dangling by the wrist and staring back at familiar amber colored eyes.
"S...sorry." I mumbled out as he pulled me out of the entrance of the sewers. But once my shoes landed against the ground, I finally caught a glimpse of the area.
Like wooden blocks, the buildings were stacked to the point of being towered high into the sky.
The awful smell of the sewers was replaced with smoke from factories, firewood, and pipes.
