"Will you come with me young man?" He asked while holding a hand out to me.
This man would soon be my master.
Master William.
Despite being the one I served under, he taught me how to read and write as I grew up under his household.
He was also the one who called me.
"Nico." Compared to the cruel men, he would always call me by my given name.
The name my mother would always call me.
"I need you to run an errand for me, Nico."
"An errand?"
Giving a small nod, Master William handed me a list of things I needed to obtain.
"From the market and...this place?" Master William pointed to the clock and stated. "Be back before sundown."
"Of course, Master!" Little did I know.
That this was Master Willam's way of protecting me.
He knew something was going to happen to him at some point.
Yet.
I couldn't do anything to stop it.
I was too absorbed into the belief that we'll end up staying in this peaceful time.
But then happiness would always disappear whenever it was within reach.
