We managed to wander deeper into the sewers, until Nico stopped at a wall with metal steps ahead. 'From the way it's leading, the steps make their way up. But I wonder...where exactly do they lead to?'
'What part of London are we heading into? Just how big is London?'
Questions piled one after another as I watched Nico climb up the steps first. Meanwhile I followed after the said boy, carefully making sure I don't slip on a single step. As I continue climbing up, I can feel Blanche snuggling close to my dress shirt. Placing more warmth against my stomach.
'Thank you, Blanche.' I silently thanked the dove within my coat.
Glancing back up, I still see Nico climbing up the steps without fail.
'It's pretty cold inside the sewers.' Maybe it's because of all of the water that gets drained all the way down here.
Vin used to mention how dangerous being near water was. Especially during winter time since water can become as cold as falling snow.
'Gotta be careful around places filled with a lot of water.' I reminded myself.
Soon a small glimmer of light almost blinded my sight.
