"Come on. You know you don't have anywhere to go, with us you're safe."
"Uhh with us you're safe. Bullshit! If Zuko wouldn't have taken my emblem I would've been already back by now!!"
"You need to understa-"
"No! I want- no need my emblem."
"That's not how it works."
"Well tell me then!? Zuko literally stole it from me."
"Yes because you-"
"Oh yeah blame it on me! I'm not the one who spoke up in the fucking war meeting."
"Come on, You were almost crying at the news that Zuko had been banished, truly I promise you'll be safe with us."
"I hate you and your nephews guts. Hope you know that."
"Ofcourse! Now let's get a nice warm cup of tea."
Groaning in annoyance you sat down besides Zuko. Blowing strands of hair out your face, letting your thoughts run wild.
Zuko pov
I didn't expect our reunion to be very smooth, but not this difficult either. They're simply the most stubborn person to exist, who wouldn't want to join their friend who is a refugee? Well, I would... ..not sure.
"Come on Y/n, stop being so salty. Just take a cup of tea like Uncle said."
"StOp BeiNg So SaLty. YOU LITERALLY STABBED ME? Zuko you're a fucking dumbass."
Rolling my eyes I retorted;
"Well I didn't know it was you, it could've been Azula for spirit knows!"
Y/n snorted at that for some reason.
"Yeah!? Azula? Personally going after you. Damn you're more of an idiot than you look like."
"What?!"
"Just- nevermind. Do you have a spare hair tie?"
Looking at Y/n as if they're an idiot I answered.
"Your hair is too short."
"Wow. Thanks for the hair tie."
They said sarcastically, turning to uncle who was pouring tea.
Seeing Y/n reminded me of my time with mother, living happy and peacefully at the palace. Watching Y/n train while mother held me close, those were good times.
A punch against my shoulder shook me out of my thoughts."Ow! What was that for?"
"For thinking, it's dangerous if you do it."
"Oh shut up."
"Nah"
I could already tell this was going to be a very draining time.
