"Oh, hey Taiju. How have you been?" You responded calmly as Kakucho gave you a small look.
"I've been fine. On a date with your new boyfriend?" He asked, glancing over at Kakucho.
"Hmm? Oh, no. He's my childhood friend. We're just catching up."
"So you and Sanzu are still together?" You nod your head. "Wow, long time. 12 years huh,"
You turn your attention to Kakucho. "You can leave if you want. I'll go back on my own." He nods and carries your paper bag with him.
"Nice seeing you again, Taiju," Kakucho says politely. "I'll take my leave, so catch up with Y/N if you'd like." And he leaves silently. Taiju slides into Kakucho's spot.
"What are you doing now?" He asks, staring at you intently.
"Me? I'm working out in the countryside, a martial arts school." His eyes widened. You were lying about your job and it didn't feel great. But you had to do what you needed to do.
"Oh wow. That's a great job." Taiju responds. "Why are you here?"
"I'm just visiting my friends from back then," You respond, giving him a small smile. "Fancy seeing you here though, you must really love this cafe, huh?" You tease him, as he turns a little pink in embarrassment.
"Oh shut up!" He exclaims, slamming his fist on the table, causing the rest of the cafe to look over. "Sorry," He apologises, turning into a brighter pink shade.
"And? What have you been doing these past 12 years?"
He was silent for a bit before speaking up again. "Surely, you remember the battle we engaged in 12 years ago." You nod your head. "After that, I apologised to my siblings for their treatment by my hands and left to live alone. Since then, I've been looking after myself and started to work, and now I'm in a high ranking position in one of the corporate businesses. From time to time, we get scammed by those rats in Bonten, but we can't do anything. We might as well be dead meat if we were to complain or say anything." Little did he know, he was doing the exact thing he shouldn't be doing.
"Oh wow! That's a pretty dangerous job you've got there then," You reply. He nods his head.
"Sure is," He answers back. You quickly glance at your phone and back at Taiju. "Sorry, but I've got to go now." You slide a couple of banknotes onto the table. "For the drinks. See you again soon, Taiju. Stay safe!" You say, smiling at him, as you leave the cafe. You walk down the streets and make your way through narrow alleyways, twisting and winding in nearly every direction. You finally made it to the garage of the Bonten building and opened the rolled door with the key card. You entered the garage and watched the garage door close before turning your back and heading towards the elevator.
"I'm back~" You exclaim as the elevator door opens. Today, things were quiet, but it was forced. Sanzu and Rindou's faces were a little bruised. Ran was sitting cross-legged on the couch, watching over the two sitting on the floor with an intense stare. Koko was on the dining table, tapping away at the computer keys. Mochi and Takeomi were out on a job. Kakucho and Mikey were nowhere to be seen.
"Where's Mikey and Kakucho?" You asked, sitting on the couch next to Ran, joining in on the staring of the two on the floor.
"They went out," Koko replied, not taking his eyes off the screen. "Kakucho told me to tell you that he left your suit outside your bedroom door."
"Oh sweet! Thanks, Koko," You exclaimed. "By the way, can you inject a little bit of cash into my account? I spent a bit too much today buying new suits."
