"Ladies and gentlemen!" A voice spoke through the speakers. "Please welcome the designer of this shown, Takashi Mitsuya to the stage for a few words." A round of applause immediately arose from the crowd as Mitsuya appeared on stage, with the spotlight shining down brightly on him.
"Good afternoon. Thank you all for your support and patience. Today's collection of designs are based on the theme of celestial beings. It was inspired by the close connections I had to my friends back in middle school, and our troubles that we managed to overcome together. Look forward to each design and, enjoy the show." Mitsuya states, finishing his short speech with a polite bow to the audience. Another round of applause occurs as he walks off the stage.
The lights dim once again, solely illuminating the centre of the runway, and music (linked above) plays softly in the background. The opening model walks out, slowly strutting down the runway. The design was magnificent. Flowy, slippery-like material shimmering in the light, the dress leaving behind a silhouette of the model as he walked.
"Isn't that Hakkai?" A voice in your earpiece rang. It was. You couldn't even recognise him in the dress, as a large wide brimmed hat had covered majority of his face. The clicking of his heels walked in time with the slow beat of the music.
"You're right," you said, looking up at Hakkai on stage in awe. Both Mitsuya and Hakkai should be proud of themselves. As Hakkai reached the end point of the runway and turned around, your eyes followed his movement and landed on a familiar face in the crowd. You couldn't pinpoint exactly who it was, but you knew that it wasn't a good sign.
"Sanzu."
"Yes?"
"Can you spot the Asian man in the dark navy suit on the other side of the runway to us? He has sunglasses resting on the top of his head, with a white handkerchief in his breast pocket."
"Yes. What about him?"
"Does he look familiar in any way to you?"
There was a moment of silence on the other end.
"Yeah, actually he does. I feel like we've seen him before."
"I swear he was on the wanted list on Mikey's blackboard on the wall in his office," you stated, and Sanzu hummed in agreement.
"I think you could be right." Sanzu replied. "I'll send Mikey a quick message and get back to you in a second. Keep your eye on him in the mean time."
"Sure thing," You did as Sanzu had asked, watching his every nose scratch, every move. "Hey, he's itching his nose an awful. It's almost suspicious, Sanzu."
"Yeah," He replied. "You reckon its a signal or something?"
"I wouldn't be surprised if it was."
The next model walked past, blocking your view of the man for a second. In that time, the man beside your suspect had disappeared. "Hey, the man that was on his right is gone."
"Y/N, duck!" Sanzu exclaimed with urgency, whilst maintaining a low volume. Quickly reacting to his words, you ducked. Just in the nick of time. Something definitely flew over the top of your head.
Glancing at the wall behind you, you spotted a bullet hole dent. Someone was definitely out to kill you. "I knew something was wrong." You stated.
"You okay, sweetheart?"
"Yeah." You replied swiftly, staying low and out of sight, crawling on the floor and taking cover under the seats where the audience resided. Luckily, the seats above you were unoccupied; your ticketed seats. "I'm just taking cover under our original seats."
