He pointed to in between his legs, where the sniper bag was resting. You grabbed it and rushed towards the back seat, unzipping the bag for the second time in a day. You took out the gun from the bag, resting it on the back seat, pointing it out the rearview window. You shot randomly once, breaking the glass, giving an unobstructed view of the car behind.
"Steady the car as much as possible. And speed up a little," You ordered, swiftly reloading the bullets into the sniper. You balanced the gun onto the backseat while resting one end on your shoulder. You looked through the scope and aimed the cross in the middle of the driver's head. "Hold the car steady, right here."
"There's a small turn coming up ahead, Y/N. I can't hold it straight for much longer."
"Drift the car then." You stated coldly, chewing on the piece of gum still in your mouth. You zoned out everything, every noise, every distraction. You held the trigger tightly, before pulling at it. The gun lurched backwards, as the car suddenly swerved, causing you to roll to the side, hitting the side door harshly, gun toppling off the back seat and rolling with you. The car stumbled on two wheels for a second before falling back onto all fours. Kakucho jumped in his seat once as the car landed back on all fours, before he stepped on the gas, as he drove away from the car, which was on its roof.
"Did you get them?" Sanzu asked you, turning his back to check.
"Do you see another car following?" You raised your eyebrow from the floor of the car, gun in your arms, smiling at him.
"I think that's done," Kakucho stated, driving the car off the highway, taking the exit.
"Finally, what a day," You exhaled, pulling yourself off the floor and onto your seat. Packing the sniper away into the bag.
"The car is trashed now. So much for getting it serviced," Sanzu brushed his fringe away from his face, towards the back of his head, but it fell right back over his forehead again.
"It's time," Kakucho stated quickly, keeping his eye on the road, earning the looks from the other car drivers as they noticed the bullet holes on the side of the car, and the smashed back window.
"To what?" You asked, glancing behind you quickly to check.
"Get rid of the car, since it's so banged up. I'm driving to a scrap yard." He takes a turn once exiting the highway, driving towards a very familiar place.
Kakucho stopped the car once driving into the scrapyard. The all familiar scrap yard. You stepped out of the car, along with Kakucho and Sanzu. You grabbed everything with you, including the sniper bag and the packet of gum. Kakucho held up the grenade showing it to the two of you.
"We'll blow up the car. Cool?" He asked, as you and Sanzu nodded your heads, already walking away from the car. Kakucho waited for a while for the two of you to be far enough from the car, before walking to the front and the back of the car to collect the number plates before pulling the pin and tossing it into the car. He made a dash to where you and Sanzu were walking, towards the gate before exiting the scrap yard.
Sanzu took his hand into yours, and gripped it tightly, rubbing his thumb over the top of your hand in comfort, as the memories flooded in once again. You pushed them over to the edge of your mind, giving Sanzu a pained smile as you walked carefully to the nearest train station before going home.
Swiping the key card over the sensor, the elevator door opened as the three of you stepped inside, as it took you all the way to the top floor.
