"Good thing you all are here," Ezra said entering the common room. All of Issac's group was sitting there reading different training manuals. That was what they used to do – training, studying, exercising, apprenticeship, and more training. They weren't allowed to go out and they weren't asked for help regarding anything that went inside that base.

They all looked up from their manuals and at her.

"I will be taking you out on training today." She announced and they all looked at each other.

"Why? Where is Althea?" Issac asked suspiciously looking at her.

"She is...preoccupied." She answered before continuing, "Okay, so, why don't you all go get your gears and we will head out."

"Early today?" Aiden raised a brow at her.

"Yeah. You know, the crows are coming so I have to be here when they do." She stated and offered a small smile.

They all nodded their heads in understanding and got up to get their gears which usually consisted of a bag full of submachine guns, assault rifles, grenades, a few rounds of ammo for both guns, food, and water, and a few other necessities.

They all met her outside in ten minutes and she gave them the cue to start their usual business. They all scoffed loudly but obliged. They started running while carrying their bags that weighed around 8-10 kgs.

This was their usual training. They used to run for two hours unless their training in-charge told them otherwise which usually didn't happen. And this was not even the strangest part, once they started running, their training in-charge would disappear, only to re-appear when any of them decided to laze their ass through the training. However, this didn't stop them from taking a breather every once in a while.

None of them were able to wrap their heads around the fact that their trainers just used to vanish into the thin air and then suddenly re-appear.

Their training ended sooner than expected today, in a little over an hour. They went back and put their gears in place in the arsenal.

There were other people in there too and everyone had one thing on their tongues, 'the peace talks with the leader of Ravens'.

That's all they had heard since that morning after Markus made the announcement. And everyone had a different opinion about this move.

Some were angry because they wanted 'justice' for their fallen friends; some were sad because those who were gone, were gone and they weren't coming back no matter what; others were happy that unnecessary bloodshed could be avoided on their end and some didn't have any opinion, they just wanted it all to end as soon as possible.

The past few days had been nothing but an endless nightmare. No one could go out without the fear that they might never return. That they might never see their loved ones again.

There was a constant fear that there was a hunter out there and they were the prey which was an unusual situation for them to be in because it was always the opposite. And on top of all this was the brutality they were being killed with.

However, no one knew about the real number of dead bodies found, they all thought it was four. Apparently, that information had not been disclosed. Why? Issac didn't know. But it was something he needed to figure out.

There was something about this whole situation that didn't sit well with him. There were endless questions. Why would a human group pick a fight with a hybrid group? And if they did pick a fight they must know the consequences beforehand so why back down now? And if they didn't do it, why did that man – Caleb – told that group's name?
