Chapter 4: What a nerd

Lapis pov:
God, it's early... I don't even know why I'm here this early either. I should've stayed home and slept in some more, to be honest. I yawned and sat on the side of a pillar drawing in one of my compression books. Suddenly I hear walking and look up to see a bunch of big brutes approaching me, it was my boyfriend Jasper and his friends Jamison, Cleo, and Jarese. Cleo was the only guy who didn't have a J name so to everyone else he was seen as the runt. I smiled and waved at the brute as I looked up "Hey bae" Jasper said with his deep raspy voice as he leaned over and kissed my lips without me noticing and startling me which caused me to jump.
"Hey, Jasper," I said smiling and getting lifted up by the brute's hand with one tug.
"Why so early Laps? Your usually late" the brute smile grew across his face as he walks towards me causing me to lean against the pillar as I smiled up at him. "Just woke up earlier than usual," I said I tugged on his shirt. His friends were weirded out and left us because they glued the puzzle together.
I smirked as I watched them walk away "Car? Bathroom? or lockers?" I said as I wrap my arms around the brutes neck causing him to hold my waist looking down at me "Lockers" he said as he smiled and took my hand after I detached from him.
*10 minutes later*  
Peridots POV:

I grunted and panted across the school as I'm being chased by a gang of brutes. Chasing me to probably try and beat me up or telling me to do their homework because they're too damn idiotic to take the time. I jumped the cars that were still lounging in the school's lot and ran into the school gym eventually losing them, but hearing one saying "I THINK SHE'S IN HERE" I heard sneakers running towards the gym and names being called towards me
"Cmon "P-Dog" we just wanna talk!" They yelled as I heard them snicker. Nobody called me P-Dog unless it was Amethyst. This clearly upsetting me I was about to run out to them and beat them. But soon I remembered I was outnumbered and hid under the bleachers. Not too long after the boys ran into the Gym and laughed as they looked around as one of them began yelling "So when are you gonna go and see your friend freak??" It didn't take long enough for this to anger me to run out of the bleachers and right hook his face causing his nose to bleed. I hit him another three times before his friends came up and grabbed me from behind. Soon pinning me to a wall each holding my arms. "Getting brave today huh? Idiot" he said before he uppercut my stomach and punched my face with his left hand. "Jasper stop them!!" I heard as I was continuously getting beat. The boys finally let go of me as I fell down from their grasps. My everything hurts but I was glad that I got a good hit on that boy. I got up from the ground seeing four boys and one girl. I then remembered I dropped my bag in the car lot and started walking out to find it.
"Are you okay?" The girl called out but I was walking too fast to even care about turning around. I just walked straight through the hall and straight through the front doors to go and find my bag.
When I just hit the car lot I heard the front doors open from behind me, causing me to walk faster in case it was Jasper and his goons behind him.
"Hey, are you okay??" It sounded like the girl so this caused me to keep walking and looking around. Eventually, I heard from the gravel on the road someone running towards me. I turned around seeing that it was the Lazuli girl. Just the thought of this made me roll my eyes and stayed quiet, but this didn't stop her she grabbed my shoulder and forcefully turn me around and causing me to stop.
"Are you okay Peri?" She asked.
"What," I answered.
"I said are you okay" she sounded concerned.
"Don't call me that" I muttered under my breath as I looked down.
"Huh?" She sounded confused about my request with her arm still on my shoulder.
"I said" hitting her hand off my shoulder "Don't fucking call me that!" I yelled at her, causing her to get startled as I turned around to look for my bag again. Eventually, I found the bag and walked back the same way as I saw her still standing there. Looking as she felt bad about what I just said, instead of being an asshole I walked up to her. Looking up at her as she looked down at me I quickly hugged her and said "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to put that on you" I let go of her hug and moved to the side of her but she mirrored what I was doing. I tried to walk past her but she blocked me and pushed me against the car holding me by my chin. Almost like she was pinning me down on a random car. "Hey Lazuli, Chill!" I was trying to move but she was too busy examining my black eye and bloody lips. She brushed my lips as she locked into my flushed eyes. I didn't notice her eyes were a nice blue. She started learning more about my lips. I saw as she slowly closed her eyes my mind caught on but instead of doing the same thing back, I grabbed her hand away from my chin. Allowing myself to be free from the awkward situation and walking away quietly. I didn't even think of turning around and seeing if she was embarrassed or something I wasn't gonna kiss someone who dated Jasper. I opened the door frustrated and decided to play music and sit in the cafeteria. The students started coming and one being the very one I was hoping wouldn't see me here was Connie Maheswaran. She was a grade below me but in the same honors class as me. Amethyst wanted us to get together because she thought we would be great for each other. All-cause of our really good scores on the SBAC or any finals. "Hey Peri," she said on the other side of the table looking at me. I looked up to see her wearing a white-colored shirt, a nice green flannel patterned skirt and also noticed her hair was up in a messy bun and she wore makeup today. This frustrated me as I grabbed her wrist and dragged her into the bathroom. "W-whats going on??" She said. looking very confused of what's going on as I wet a paper towel then turning around towards her. "Your skin is beautiful and you don't need literally pigment to show it," I said as I wiped her cheeks. I saw her blush a little as I saw her eyes quickly move to my black eye and messed up lip. "What happened to you???" She sounded concerned as she grabbed my face from cheek to cheek examining every angle. I laughed it off and said "I'm fine, let's focus on you first" I wiped her makeup off her face and smiled seeing all the mucky makeup was off my beautiful friend. I turned to the sink taking out my messy bun and fixing my hair. "So what happened..?" I heard Connie say
"Nothing, just Jasper and his goons" I smirked turning around facing her. She looked sad so I walked up to her trying to comfort her and tell her that I'm okay. "Why do you let them do this to you." She said as tears formed in her eyes. Connie was the one person I was an inch taller than so I looked at her holding her face and smiling. Maybe I am happy she came to school today, I rather talk to her than Jasper and his clods. we were both interrupted by something or someone falling behind the wall blocking the door. I always thought it was a waste of money. Connie and I looked at each other and quickly ran over to what had happened. There we saw the tall girl with blue hair still on the ground. "Lazuli what the fuck?" I said confused, and a little happy it wasn't anyone else. Lapis got up from the ground and began to stutter and then ran off out of the bathroom. I and Connie were very confused about what had just happened and decided to head to class. I bid farewell to Connie and walked in the opposite direction from her, entering classroom B6 Math. I know I'm a pretty smart kid but math was my least favorite. Just the thought of doing another formula makes me gag. I walked between the doors and saw Lapis was the only one here "Since when were you in my class?" I said approaching the desk she was on. "I'm not," she said leaning back on the chair and crossing her arms. "So why are you here?" I scoffed a little and walked over to my desk that had a bunch of writing on it. But it never phased me at all just another day. After I sat my things down she turned around "Maybe I wanted to be in your class" Lapis replied and this got me curious what the fuck is she talking about "Okay Clod but you are soon gonna realize that, this isn't an easy class." I said laughing, I wasn't catching on to whatever the hell Lapis was up to but I wasn't tryna be a part of it.

She eventually got up from her seat that was two desks away from me and leaned over on my right-hand side. "Wha-" my sentence was cut off by the girl pressing her soft lips on mine. She held my cheek but I didn't know what to do I just froze there until eventually I gave in to the kiss and kissed her back. But as soon as I did that I heard a camera snap and quickly pushed off a laughing Lapis. By then a group of laugh brutes came in and helped her up. Jasper approached me and showed me the video of Lapis kissing me and said: " to my understanding, it looks as if that's your first kiss" the annoying boy laughed but it didn't phase me I was still shocked about the kiss. "Actually no it wasn't but maybe try again later"I replied causing Jasper to be shocked "is that so?" He smirked "so who's your girlfriend freak," he said leaning on my desk to see me eye to eye. "We broke up a year ago and I'm not in the mood to take a blast to the last clod," I said leaning on my own desk looking at him straight in his eyes with anger. Finally, the brute smiled and walked out of the classroom laughing. But Lapis didn't leave instead she stood there in front of me as if she thought what she was doing was teaching me a lesson of some sort. "All you did was kiss me Lazuli" I paused looking at her. "You think a kiss from a student gets me embarrassed? Please I've kissed girls better than you" this shocked her as she angrily walked out of the classroom. She was happy and nice earlier what the fuck was up with her nOw

A/N: damn, 1966 words 😭😭😭 sorry y'all guys I made it two stories long cause I really got into the depth of the story- but I'm still gonna upload tomorrow and no I'm not gonna abandon this story I really enjoyed it. But this story switched up Lapis and y'all might get mad at that. BUT HEAR ME OUT IT WOULD ALL BE EXPLAIN FROM LAPIS'S POINT OF VIEW
