Third person's POV
Searching for a job in the city of Boston isn't as easy as Gina had thought as she currently walks the streets of Boston looking for houses that needs cleaners or caregivers, at least that is the only work experience she has, coupled with the fact that she's really bad at interacting with people so she prefers jobs that doesn't really involve speaking to multiple people.
She worked for miss Avery for 2 years as a cleaner and a caregiver to her old granny after miss Avery found her roaming the streets when her foster family kicked her out. Miss Avery paid her well and she saved quite a lot which she used in moving to Boston.
Gina got comfortable around her and she did her best to bring Gina out of her shell but Gina suffered so much abuse from her foster family so there was only so much she could do.
Gina really needed a job, as she has spent most of her savings on moving to Boston and getting an apartment and the little she has left won't really last her a long time. After she submitted her credentials to some of the houses she visited, she then decides to head home to wait and see if any of the houses would call her.
Gina's tiny apartment has become her home and her safe haven, where she could be herself and not feel insecure, she couldn't help the thought of how her foster family never looked for her all these while or even cared about how she had been faring since they kicked her out.
Being so deep in thought that she didn't bother to check for any oncoming vehicles as she's trying to cross to the road to the street that leads to her apartment or hear the sound of the oncoming car blasting its horn at her to leave the way.
Gina doesn't notice as the speeding car gets so close to her, almost hitting her, but then surprisingly comes to a halt few inches away from her as she falls hard on her butt from the shock of almost being knocked down by a car.
Gina mutters a string load of curses from the pains she feels as she tries to get up, the driver then alights from the car moving towards Gina, while Gina who's trying to nurse her wounds didn't notice the driver's movements but then looks up at the figure shading her.
Gina's breath hitch pausing her movements as she stares at the most mesmerizing pair of green eyes she has ever seen, he's so intoxicatingly handsome, with his shaggy blonde hair, sharp and chiseled jaw, long thick lashes and perfectly shaped nose paired with pink bow shaped kissable lips.
He is undeniably tall with a lean muscular build, traces of his ripped muscles showing from his long sleeved fitted T-shirt and jeans as he towers over her. Gina didn't even realize she has been staring until he clears his throat pulling her out of her trance like state.
"Are you ok?" He asks while putting his hand forward to help her stand up, she gives a curt nod but takes his outstretched hand politely as her face turns crimson at the contact of her hand with his. He eyes her expressionlessly then he quirks one of his brows up quizzically trying to figure her out.
"Do you know that I could've hit you with my car and you would've gotten hurt or even died, what had you so distracted that you couldn't watch where you were going?" he says eerily calm but there's a certain firmness in his voice that makes it seem like he's reprimanding you. Gina stands there speechless with her eyes down and her face red with embarrassment.
"Where are you headed?" He speaks up suddenly after a few seconds of silence taking Gina by surprise.
"Home" she mutters.
"Get in, I'll take you there." Gina stares wide eyed at his forwardness.
"You don't have to I can find my way back thank you" she says politely and proceeds to head home, but before she could take her second step, a pair of strong hands lifts her up to his shoulder causing her to let out a yelp in surprise which immediately turns into curses, as she yells a string load of curse words at the handsome stranger that has her hanging off his shoulder like a sack of potatoes.
He hastily carries her to the passenger side of the car opening the door, placing her on the seat and buckling the seat belt then proceed to slam the door shut and move to get in the driver's side of the car. "Excuse me mister but you do know that this is kidnapping." Gina says immediately he gets into the car.
" I don't know who the hell you think you're but you're outta line here. I don't even fucking know who you are for fuck's sake. Look I'm calling the cops to tell them that I've been abducted." She continues relentlessly while searching her bag pack for her phone.
Gina didn't know where the new found confidence came from but she could feel the adrenaline coursing through her as the anger of the moment flares inside her.
"Listen, I'm not trying to kidnap you. I just want to take you home safely, you're clearly not in the right state of mind, I mean I almost hit you with my car. I just don't want anything happening to you." He states matter of factly."Also my name is Jaxon, now give me your address so I can get you home."
"But that doesn't give you the right to put me over your shoulder like some helpless girl in distress or rather a sack of potatoes, and you can't order me around like that and expect me to answer you." Gina retorts while Jaxon chuckles."Ok... I'm sorry. Now can you please give me your address, so I can take you home?"
Gina huffs and looks at him skeptically for a moment before reluctantly disclosing her address to Jaxon who smirks at her in victory before turning on the engine of the car to take her home.
