After Party (22)

*Parker's POV*

"Come on slow pokes!" I yelled laughing walking faster in front of Claudia and Fin as we walked out of the building and further down the street. After they finally caught up we just started talking about the interview.

 "It was really stuffy in there with all those lights, and people and stuff so I figured fresh air would be good before the party." I said.

 "Yeah sometimes interviews can be a lot but you did really well." Finneas said with a smile before hugging me.

"Yeah so are there going to be people my age at this party?" I asked. "I mean yeah but then again you have to remember most of these people are celebrities. It's not often that you can bring a plus one to a smaller after party." Claudia explained as I nodded in understanding. 

"There's a park! Can we go swing on the swings really quick please? We still have like 20 minutes before the party starts." I asked excitedly as I saw a park across the street. 

"Then you'd only be able to swing for like 10-15 minutes Parker." Finneas said chuckling at my excitement. "Yeah I know but I really wanna go.." I said dramatically emphasizing the go. 

"Alright alright but ten minutes!" Finneas said before I responded with running across the street screaming "Yeah Yeah old man ten minutes." and went to go swing on the swings. 

*Finneas's POV*

"Man she really is something else huh?" I asked Claudia chuckling as I watched my niece swing as high as she possibly could on this old looking swing.

 "Yeah I can tell she's been good for both Billie and Fallon. I mean of course they love each other but I think we could all tell there was a little something missing." Claudia said as I agreed because she was right. 

A few months after they got married and they had come back the were hopelessly in love with each other but it seemed as if their moods were dampened by something. As if they were missing a small piece of that joy they had in their eyes. 

"Oh definitely. She also just fits in really well and it's incredible how fast she grew into getting to know us better and everything falling into place." I said as I heard my phone go off. I looked to see Billie calling me.

"Hey Bil what's up?" I asked. "Hey bozo the party started 10 minutes ago hurry your ass up." Billie said over the music in the background before hanging up on me. Oops.

"Parker it's time to go." I said as I saw her about to go higher than she had been. "I'm going to fast to stop imma just jump." She said laughing. "I don't think that's a good Idea." I said laughing with her. 

"Here goes nothing." She said before jumping off the swing and landing on her knees. "You good?" I asked as she got up. "Yeah I just scraped up my knees a bit nothing serious. Let's go party!!" She said excitedly. I think this girl is going to be the death of me. 

*Skylar's POV*

I'm at this Vanity Fair after party chillin on the couch next to my bestfriend Nadia when all of a sudden this beautiful girl walks in laughing with Finneas O'Connell and Claudia behind her. "She's pretty." Nadia says as she realizes I've been staring. 

"No kidding. Who is she?" I asked wanting to get to know this girl. "She's with Finneas and Billie why don't you just go ask em?" Nadia suggested.

 "You're out of your mind Nadia there's no way I could just go up there and ask them!" I whisper yelled at her. "Why not? We're celebrities too you know." Nadia said chuckling a bit. 

"No where close to them though. I have no idea how we even got here Nadia." I reasoned. "Sky you're being chicken it's not that big of a deal. Just go ask her for her snap or start conversation with one of them." Nadia said. 

I was about to respond before I felt someone staring at me as well. I look up to see those same gorgeous eyes that I was just looking into looking back at me. 

When she'd realized she'd been caught she quickly turned away her cheeks turning a flush pink color. She's adorable. 

*Parker's POV*

A few minutes after I had walked in I felt eyes on me which hadn't become normal until recently. "Your parents are outside we'll be out there too if you need us have some fun. I think I see Ariana over there." Finneas said with a smile. 

"Yeah thanks I think I'll say hi maybe I don't know." I said nervously chuckling as we said our goodbyes and the couple went outside. 

I then looked around the room to find the eyes that were once locked on mine. I find this amazing looking girl talking to who I assume is her friend. 

I wasn't very discreet about my staring because seconds later she looked up at me and I blush from the embarrassment of getting caught. 

I don't know where this sudden boldness came from but before I knew it I was walking around to the couch that was across from where she was sitting and sat down.

 "Hey." I said with a smile feeling myself get a bit anxious just being in her presence but it was the good kind of anxious if that makes sense. 

I sat down as she looked up at me with a bit of a shocked expression on her face. "Um hi." She said looking up at me with a smile. 

"I hope I'm not interrupting anything?" I asked thinking they might be a couple but it didn't really look like it. 

"Oh no actually we were just talking a bit. I'm Nadia this is my best friend Skylar." Nadia said with a cheeky looking grin on her face. 

"I'm Parker it's really nice to meet you." I said really hoping I would get to talk to them more. Maybe I'm making some new friends? Something more?
