Truth

Blair's pov

The fours of us go and sit down at an empty table. The music that is playing right now is classical and you cant dance to it. 

"Ill go get us some drinks" Alex leaves the table leaving jus me and Grey and the girl that he brought. I still don't know her name but according to Alex she's only a one night stand which is good because I don't like her. 

Alex arrives back at the table with glass of champagne in his hands. I grab mine and so does Grey. 

I take a sip but then make a weird face because I don't like it. Grey glances over at me making the face and a smile appears on his face but it quickly goes away. 

He's all boss man like here which I understand. He owns the biggest mafia so he cant show any weakness here, especially for some girl he's friends with. 

After a while if sitting and talking to each other a slow dance begins and everyone goes to the dance floor.

Grey stands up and offers his hand to me "May I have this dance". I put my hand in his and stand up "Yes you may". 

Alex and the girl stand up after us and follow us to the dance floor. 

One of my hands holds Grey's and the other is around his neck while his other hand is resting on my back. We sway back and forth to the music. 

I glance around the room to all the couples or whatever they are dancing together. Some of them look happy and are laughing and others you can tell they don't mean anything to each other. Alex is the second option, he looks like he's in hell dancing with her. 

"I need to tell you something" Grey looks nervous again and I don't like that. 

"Shoot" I look up at him and our eyes meet. 

"I think I'm falling in love with you" My breath hitches and confusion covers my face. 

"Are you just saying the lyrics to the song" I ask him in confusion. "No, I'm actually falling for you, everything about you. You make me go crazy with just one touch. Your hugs are what I never knew I needed." He tightens the grip the grip on my back "The way you don't get on your knees and beg to get into bed with me like all the other girls, you treat me like a normal human. I love everything about you and I always have, ever since the moment I met you. Your the most beautiful girl in the entire world, the way your light blue eyes sparkle in the sunlight and you smile can cheer up a whole room. Just one look at you and I'm instantly happy" He finishes out of breath. 

I struggle to find the words to say. "I thought we were just friends" After I finish I can tell I really hurt him with my response. 

"Lets be more than friends, you cant deny the history between us Blair" He lets go of my waist and spins me around just to pull me back to him. 

"Can I think about it" My heart aches for him but there's so many possible outcomes.  

"Yeah" He sighs and lightly nods his head. He loosens his grip on my back. 

"I'm sorry I just don't know how to answer" A take my arm around his neck and grab his cheek, making him look at me. 

"Its ok" He rest his forehead on mine. 

The song ends and let go of each other and head back to our seats. 

Awkward silence fills the table. 

"Ill go get us some more drinks, it looks like we need them" Alex stands to leave the table and I quickly stand up next to him "Ill come with, for the extra hands carrying" I walk past him fast trying to get from the awkwardness. 

I stand at the drink table and Alex finally catches up to me "What the hell happened out there on the dance floor"

I turn to face him "Grey told me he's falling in love with me". His mouth drops open and his arms embrace me for a hug. 

In confusion I hug him back lightly

"About damn time he actually did it" He lets go of me and chugs down a shot. 

"Wait you knew about this" I question him as he steps down the glass. 

"Yup" He nods. "Well is he serious about this" I take down one shot. 

"Oh yeah, I've never seen him like this over a girl" He chugs down his second shot. 

"Great" I chug down 2 more shots, trying to get my mind off the fact that Grey just told me he's falling in love with me. 

I walk back over to the table with Alex and me and Grey don't talk once. 

Same as at the table, the car ride home was silent. 

I enter my apartment and slope down to the ground with my back against the door. I still have my dress on so its hard to really move. 

I finally pull myself off the ground and into the bathroom to get undressed. 

Grey's pov

I grab the edge of my office desk and flip it over. Papers spread a cross the floor and go flying.

I scream at the top of my lungs out of anger and my body leans against the wall then falls to the ground. 

I bury my face into my hands as so many emotions run through me at once. 

I fucked everything up. I shouldn't have told her. I'm a fucking failure. 

All the memories between me and her come flooding back and I storm out of my office. 

I hop into my car and just start driving to clear my mind. I don't even know where I'm going.
