"Oi Perce! Get up!"

"Breakfast is ready and Dad wants to tell us something! Come on!"

Percy groaned, burying his head into the pillow below him to escape the twin terrors that were his younger brothers. The sunlight from his window shone through the glass and onto his freckled back. Before they had barged into his room has rudely as they did, he had felt incredibly content. He hadn't had a proper sleep in months, and the first opportunity he got just had to be ruined by the twins.

Apparently, he had taken too long to respond to them, seeing as surprisingly strong arms dragged him from the bed and onto the wooden floor below. Percy cried out, both surprised and incredibly irritated with the two of them.

"Alright! Alright! I'm awake! I'll be down in a minute or two, just go downstairs! I mean it you two, scram!"

The pair chuckled at their brother's annoyance and did as advised, quickly scampering away. Percy didn't know and didn't care what their intentions were, they were away now.

Percy stretched his legs and stood up, going to his cupboard, and blindly reaching for the nearest shirt. Afterwards, his hands fumbled about, searching for his glasses. A sore hand and a minute later, he finally found them. He put them on the bridge of his nose and blinked tiredly, wishing he had gone back to bed.

He could hear the loud chatter of his family from his room, and he sighed to himself loudly. He wanted nothing more than to lock himself in his room and sleep for the entirety of his dreadful season. To let it pass as though it was a sudden wave of hot air and nothing more. He despised summer, no matter how much his family loved it. He hated it with his entire heart and he was mostly miserable every single three months of a year.

Footsteps delicately made their way down the two staircases leading to the ground floor. Light flooded into Percy's eyesight from the many windows and open light into the ground floor of their house. He placed an arm over his eyes delicately, attempting to divert his eyes away. Percy tiredly stumbled into the dining room, mumbling a slurred greeting and kissing Molly on the cheek before sitting in his spot. He was to the left of the twins and to the right of his mother, as always.

"Is someone tired?" One of the twins mocked, most likely George.

Molly reached over and swatted him on the arm, sending him a look of warning.

"Your brother has had an exhausting sixth year, don't you tease the poor boy."

Fred and George snickered into their breakfasts but didn't make anymore comments. Percy picked at his food, gazing into his plate.

"What should we blow up today Gred?"

"I don't know Forge. I do not know. It will be something though, that's for sure."

"Boys! You will not be blowing anything up!" Molly exclaimed, reaching out to swat both of them on the arm in warning.

Both boys groaned, then rolled their eyes and began whispering to one another on their plans.

"Dad," Ron piped up noisily amongst the chatter, mid-chew, "What were you going to say? Was it important?"

Arthur suddenly stood up and cleared his throat loudly, the chatter quickly falling silent. It was if Ron had turned on a lightbulb in his head he had previously forgotten about.

"Listen up everyone, your mother and I have some exciting news!" Arthur smiled enthusiastically as he spoke.

"Did someone finally replace Errol?" Ginny asked, her smile faint and ingenuine. No one else could tell though, as her siblings and father chuckled at her remark.
