"Come on Buck..." Steve rushes me. "We need to go"

I'm frozen. I can't move. My lip quivers, why did he make me leave her.

"BUCKY!" He yells pulling me back. I flinch. "You need to get over there, so we can get out. Balance over there" he points to the bar that stretches as a bridge.

I look at it then back at Steve. He looks worried but determined. So I nod. Slowly, I climb over the bars onto the 'bridge'...

I can't do this.

Oh god...

"Steve...I-I" I begin to panic.

"BUCKY! GO!" His sharp words make me flinch slightly I'm afraid of falling. So I balance, making my way over to the other side.

Edging my slowest as I don't want to fall. I can do this. I look down ever so often and see how far down it is.

I hear it crack so I run the rest of the way, jumping over the bar. Fuck.

I made it.

My heart beats really fast. Not as fast as when I saw Annie on our wedding day.

But the bar breaks. Steve has no access.

"There has to be a rope. Or-or-or something" I yell quickly looking round my feet. "JUST GO! GEG OUT OF HERE!!" He tries to heal me away with his arm.

But I slam my hands on the bar. "NO NOT WITHOUT YOU!"

I'm not leaving without him. I'm going to beat his ass for making me leave the love of my life but... I can't leave him.

I watch as he bends the bar and he moves back. No...

The asshole isn't going to jump is he? What a dick...

"Steve??" I warn.

"Hang on buddy" he states looking around him for his space. He released a breath and quickly runs up jumping.

~Time Skip~

My feet are killing me. I've been walking for hours. But I'm Steve's wing man apparently. I see some of the soldiers come into view. We're back. The general and Peggy are there.

Men cheer, and I look at Steve.

Steve salutes Colonel Philips. "Some of these men need medical attention" he states. Men begin to walk with medics to be treated. But I don't leave Steve's side.

"I'd like to surrender myself for disciplinary action" Steve confesses.

Bitch what?

When has he ever done stuff like this?

The colonel looks at him and thinks for a split second. His body jerks forward slightly. "No, that won't be necessary." Philips looks away. Steve just smiles. I only see the side of Steve's face, but I see his smile.

He wants to be a hero...

"Yes sir" he states.

I only just catch what Philips states to Peggy. "Faith, huh?"

That makes me smile. She has faith like I do.

She walks to him and hesitated. "You're late!" But he pulls something out.

What the shit is that?

"Couldn't call my ride" he smirks.

Did I miss something?

Are they together??

I'm happy for him but... how can I tell Howard. How will I live with myself without her...
