Chapter 1

***Marinette's POV***

I was up late working on homework I had missed. Tiki kept continually telling me to get some sleep. But I knew I had to get this done. Tiki eventually gave up and went to bed. I ended up staying up all night. I finished the last page of homework when my alarm went off. Great, I was going to be exhausted all day, but I would be on time and have all my homework done. I got ready for school and went down stairs.

"Good morning sweetheart you're up early." My mom said.

"Are you alright you look like you got hit by a bus." My dad asked.

"I'm fine just a late night study session, I'll be ok really." I said grabbing some breakfast for me and Tiki before heading back upstairs. I handed Tiki her portion of food and started collecting everything I needed, taking small bites of food as I went. I eventually had nothing else to do at home so I left for school, for the first time in forever I was half an hour early. I sat on a bench and pulled out my sketchbook. I sketched as students started piling into the school yard.

"Marinette?"

I looked up and saw a confused looking Alya walking towards me.

"Girl is that really you, you're here on time. You look like a wreck though." She said sitting next to me.

"Yeah I was up all night doing homework, but I'm here on time." I said yawning.

"Well can I see your new designs?" She asked leaning over.

"Why not, here." I said, handing her my sketch book.

Her eyes scanned across the new designs, muttering compliments as she went. Eventually the bell rang, telling us we had 5 minutes to get to class. So we packed up and headed to class. The teacher looked surprised to see me early but said nothing. I sat down and me and Alya talked until the class started. My classmates looked at me in surprise since me and Alya were the first kids in class today when usually I was the last. Class started and I noticed Adrien still wasn't there. After we got 15 minutes into class Adrien came running in.

"Sorry Mrs. Bustier." he mumbled, stumbling to his seat.

"Looks like someone started acting like you." Alya said elbowing me in the side.

I playfully stuck out my tongue before looking back at my work.

***Lunch time***

Me and Alya found a place to sit and started eating, not too long later Nino and Adrien came over asking to sit next us.

"Of course," Alya said. I sat in silence while they talked about Ladybug. I giggled a little when I heard Adrien talk about how amazing Ladybug was but they didn't hear me.

"I'll be right back, I just need to throw this away." I said picking my tray up.

"Ok." Alya said then she continued on about Ladybug.

I walked over to the dumpster and was about to walk back when Chloe, Sabrina, and Lila blocked my path.

"Can I help you?" I asked.

"Meet us behind the school today." Chloe said.

"And why would I do that?" I asked.

"Because if you don't you'll have to explain to Mr. Damocles why you punched me." Lila said.

"But I didn't punch you." I said.

"Yes but we're going to frame you for it." Sabrina said.

"So what do you say Dupain-Cheng?" Chloe asked.

"Fine." I said, rolling my eyes.

I walked around them and I could hear them laughing as I walked away. I sat back down next to Alya and sighed, Adrien looked at me in concern.
