Chapter 18

***Marinette's POV***

My memory was fuzzy, Chat walked out and I turned to Master Fu.

"What did he mean by fight the dragon?" I asked

"I will tell you in a moment, first you should get some rest."

"I'm not tired, I just slept. Please tell me what's going on" I said

He sighed "He's going to fight Hawkmoth"

"But, we almost didn't get out of there last time! Does he have the whole team?"

"I don't know, but you need to rest. Especially if you want to go help him."

I groaned but listened to master Fu. I laid back down and closed my eyes. I wanted to go help, I wasn't in that bad of a condition. I could probably help, but I knew that if I went Chat would make me hide, or leave. I felt my eyelids getting heavier. I yawned and slowly fell back to sleep. I just hoped that when I woke up my kitty would be alright.

***Adrien's POV***

When we walked in no one was there. We checked everywhere, no one was here. Not even any of the staff. I walked to the room Marinette had been trapped in, it still had the faint smell of Marinette's blood. I shuddered and kept looking.

"Where the hell are they!" Scarbella yelled

"I don't know, but we should probably go back to Marinette." I said

"Ok, but isn't it a little odd that when we come to fight them again no one's here. Something's off" Carapace said

"Let's just go, we shouldn't be here any longer then we have to" Scarbella said leaving

Carapace and I followed her out. We headed for Master Fu's but to our horror it was on fire. We all immediately ran in trying to find Marinette or Master Fu. Master Fu stumbled towards us.

"Master where is Marinette!" I yelled

"She's still in there, I'm sorry I couldn't get her out."

Scarbella helped him out while me and Carapace went deeper into the burning building to find Marinette.

"Mari!" I yelled

"Kitty?!" She called

I heard her coughing.

"Mari, try to follow the sound of my voice!" I yelled

"O-ok!"

She was coughing badly. She stumbled out in front of me and Carapace. She fell to the floor.

"Mari!" I ran to help her up.

"K-kitty I d-don't think I-I can make i-it out" She coughed

"No, we're going to get you out of here" I said

I picked her up but the ceiling started to collapse.

"SHELTER!" Carapace yelled

All three of us were in the shield but it was completely covered in burning wood. Marinette was holding onto me tightly.

"CARAPACE! CHAT! MARINETTE!" Scarbella screamed

"We're over here!" I coughed

The fire started to die down around us. Carapace wouldn't be able to hold on for much longer. Some of the wood was being moved around us. I heard a couple fire trucks. I held Marinette close to my body. Carapace collapsed and so did the shield. I tried to cover Marinette as much as possible. I could feel her breathing slow down. We were running out of air.
