Chapter 8

I jumped onto Marinette's balcony as Chat noir and knocked but there was no answer. I jumped in and looked around her room for her. I heard crying from her bathroom and I walked over and knocked.

"Hey princess, are you ok?" I asked

I heard something drop to the floor and I heard her gasp.

"C-Chat?!"

"Yes, can I come in?" I asked

"N-no, I-I'm fine" she said.

I unlocked the door and my heart dropped. Across her forearms were a bunch of cuts, and on the floor what she had dropped was a small pocket knife.

"Marinette" I cried

She let out a sob and I wrapped my arms around her small trembling body. She sobbed in my arms for a minute before I pulled away and grabbed a first aid kit. I wrapped it around her arm. I picked her up and we were laying on her chaise. She had her head on my chest.

"Why would you ever do that?" I asked hugging her again

"I didn't even realize what I was doing, I was dropped off by my friends and when I came upstairs I didn't realize I was cutting myself until I felt the pain, and I didn't stop. I've been having a hard time lately, and it didn't help with some things Lila said today." She said quietly

"What did she say?"

"S-she told me I was weak, and helpless, a-and that I should g-go die. And maybe she's right" she said into my arm

"Marinette listen to me" I made her sit up and look at me "You are not weak or helpless, and you should not go die. You are one of the most important people to me. If I lost you I don't know what I would do. Promise me whenever you feel like you want to hurt yourself you'll talk to me." I said

She nodded.

"C-Chat I think I want you to decide what we are." She said trying to change the subject

"Ok, let me think."

She giggled a little.

"Marinette, will you be my girlfriend?" I asked

She blushed a bright red.

"Yes!" She hugged me tightly and I hugged her back

That's when we heard Alya and Nino down stairs.

"I'll see you later princess." I said kissing her on the cheek before running out and detransforming into Adrien so I could join them. I walked in with a huge smile on my face and when I got upstairs so did Marinette.

***Marinette's POV***

I cut my arms multiple times, letting out a small cry of pain with each cut. I didn't even realize I was doing it until I felt the pain. I was crying and that's when I heard a knock on the door. I heard Chat calling for me.

"Hey princess, are you ok?" He asked

I drop the knife the floor and gasped in surprise

"C-Chat?!"

"Yes, can I come in?" He asked

"N-no, I-I'm fine" I said.

He unlocked the door and I saw him look at me with worry and fear. He looked at my arms and then looked at the knife I dropped. 

"Marinette" he cried

That's when I gave up, I sob and Chat wrapped his arms around my shaking body. I sobbed in Chat's arms for a minute before he pulled away and grabbed a first aid kit. He wrapped it around my arm. Then he picked me up and put me on my chaise. We were laying together and I had my head on his chest.
