Chapter 7

Me and Adrien were waiting for Alya, Nino, Chloe, and Lila. Adrien has refused to let me leave without him. He said he didn't want what happened yesterday to happen again. Alya and Nino came in and pulled out a computer and a few notes they had taken. Chloe and Lila walked in and froze when they saw Alya, Nino, and Adrien.

"What are you guys doing here?" Chloe asked

Lila sat right next to Adrien and kissed him on the cheek.

"Yeah baby, what are you doing here?" Lila asked an edge in her voice as she looked at me.

"Well we needed to work on our project and Marinette came in and told us you guys were working in here, but we're already here so we didn't see a point in leaving. Is that alright with you?" He asked the same tone as Lila

"Of course" Lila said through gritted teeth

We started on our project. We worked mainly in silence. Alya had set an alarm for 5:30pm. That's when we had agreed we would be done. Time ticked by very slowly. When Alya's alarm went off I jumped and almost fell out of my chair. Adrien caught me and propped me up.

"Thank you" I whispered

Alya and Nino very quickly packed everything up.

"Mari, we'll see you at your house tonight." Alya said waving and walking out with Nino

"Yep see you there dudette" Nino called cheerfully

I was still packing things up and Adrien stayed behind to help me.

"It's ok, you can go ahead" I said

He looked at me and I knew what he was thinking. He didn't want to leave me alone with them. He nodded and picked up his stuff.

"See you later" he said walking out

I was finishing putting stuff away when Chloe threw my bag on the floor. I bent down to pick it up but Lila put her foot on the bag. I stood back up and stared into her cold eyes.

"Why did you invite Adrien?!" Lila yelled

"I didn't" I said continuing to clean up

"We're not dumb, he had a photo shoot today." Chloe said

"No, it was moved to yesterday" I said plainly

Lila pushed me into the wall.

"And how would you know that?!" She said coldly

"He came over to my house yesterday and he had to leave early because of the time change." I choked out

I secretly hoped someone would come through the door, but I knew I had to follow mine and Alya's plan.

"He is MY boyfriend, back off. Or I'll make sure you're in a wheelchair!" She yelled

"You know, we all know you're forcing him to be your boyfriend. He doesn't want to date you, but you're forcing him to." I said, still struggling to breath

"And do you know why!?" She asked, she had a face mixed with anger and delight

"No, he said he didn't want to tell us so we respected that." I said

"It's to protect you, because you are a weak little bitch! You can't protect yourself, and you never will be able to!" She said punching me hard in the face.

I could feel blood trickling down my face. She dropped me and I slouched against the ground. She was laughing

"Just go and die!" Lila said

Her and Chloe walked out laughing. As soon as they were gone. Alya came running in.

"Mari! I'm so sorry I really wanted to burst in but I knew we agreed I wouldn't. I'm so sorry!" She looked like she was about to cry.
